Property was very new and well kept and room was large. Staff was friendly but only when there, which was not after 6 pm. It was quite expensive, so I expected a higher level of service. Small things like drinking water and expresso coffee were extra.

Beautiful property with amazing views- it can be a bit tricky to find up the winding stair path, but absolutely worth it. Lovely staff

Elana is at the front desk and she was more than good, she was excellent. She gave us a list of everything that we needed on the island and all were perfect. She was answering all kinds of questions that we had right away. Also the other 2 staff that were working were great as well. All so helpfull, and kind. We were very lucky to stay at this hotel. Thank youGuys

Everything was absolutely lovely about this hideaway spot. The most important thing for every traveler to know is that you would be best served to hire a donkey service to carry your luggage to the hotel from the port. You also need to be sure you are in relatively healthy shape to handle the series of stairs to and within the hotel. The stone-laden stairs in the streets are VERY slippery as I found out rolling my ankle while wearing excellent athletic shoes.

Yes, there are steps but its so worth the journey! We loved staying at Hydra Hotel-the room was light, airy and very clean, the breakfast was tasty and the staff was fantastic! I highly suggest choosing Hydra Hotel!

Gorgeous view of the port. Great breakfast. Amazing staff on site. Rooms are large like office lofts. Wi-Fi is quick.

We loved the decor, and the incredible view from our balcony over the port, town of Hydra and sea. Most of all we loved the warm welcome and staff of the hotel. Their communication before and during our stay was exceptional. The Hotel went above and beyond. A special thanks to Cleopatra Dimakakou.

Spacious accommodation in the centre of Hydra
The rooms were extremely spacious, immaculate and comfortable although the plumbing could do with an upgrade (but we're in Hydra so it's understandable) Our rooms didn't have a view so do mention it if you want one - the staff is very friendly.

A wonderful hotel! Very helpful staff, spoke English, knowledgable, & helped out when needed. The breakfast was always amazing and carefully prepared. The only problem with this hotel is that one must climb very steep stone steps to reach it from the harbor. Riding donkeys to it is not an option for those middle age or older.

Beware that this hillside property is at the top of a steep set of more than 100 steps and there is no alternative route. This is not suitable for elderly or less than fit travelers. We needed donkeys to bring our luggage to the hotel. Our room was the only one with a balcony which was nice. The breakfast was lovely.

Our host Ariadne contacted us two days before our arrival as there was a plumbing problem and the room was not available. But Ariadne found us the perfect room at another property. Then, when we arrived by ferry there she was to greet us and walk us to our room. But she wasn’t done yet! She also arranged for us to have breakfast for two mornings at a restaurant on the waterfront, at her expense. Now that is what I call amazing guest service. Thank. You so much for everything

The hotel overlooks the city. But our reservation said we would have a room "with a town view". Well, they had no such room they could place us in. This was a major disappointment. Either Expedia or the Hydra hotel engaged in some false advertising.

Wonderfully renovated property high up with a stunning view of the port and the Hydra mountains. We were upgraded to a suite with a balcony, and that made all the difference. High ceilings, super quiet, beautiful light made for a wonderfully tranquil visit. Do request a donkey transport to help with luggage-- it's a STEEP walk up 180+ slippery stairs to the hotel. Really appreciated the staff's flexibility when our arrival changed to after normal hours; they went out of their way to accommodate us. The breakfasts are the one false note-- they're VERY average and the "coffee" is simply atrocious.

Beautiful fresh key renovated property
Be ready for steps! The entire island has no motorized vehicles, except the garbage truck. Donkeys can help get your bags up the hill. So happy with the hotel, service, clean, great buffet breakfast on the terrace. Felt like a royal for two nights.

hotel hydra - great for a mid week get away.
hydra and this hotel in may is good value. prices are half the june-august rates. great breakfast. comfortable and spacious enough for a family of four. not recommended for folks with limited mobility, as the 120 step climb to the property involves stones steps, a bit steep for a short person with bad knees. but a lovely place. too bad there is only one room with a view.

Very clean and friendly staff.
We loved Hydra and the hotel. You must be able to climb lots of stairs to reach the hotel and donkey transfer for luggage is a must. We were able to arrange it through the hotel for 10 euros each way. The location of the hotel offers incredible views of Hydra and the harbor. Our room faced East and the sunrise was spectacular. We stayed only two nights but wish we had stayed longer. The island, food, hotel, hospitality, and relaxing yet energizing vibe are hard to beat!!

Great Hydra Hotel!
We enjoyed a nice evening at this hotel. We booked very last minute and were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely accommodations and the truly lovely staff. This was a very nice little find for us!

Great place on a spectacular island.
This is a classy little hotel with a great location, friendly personal service and very elegant decor on a peaceful, restful little Greek Island. At else. Oils you ask for.
