The place had a smell...because people cook in their rooms. The AC was noisy and the phone charger in the alarm clock didn't work so I couldn't charge my phone in the room. The elevator inspection was 2 years expired and there are several ceiling tiles missing in the hallways where you can see pipes.

The hotel VERY wore down.. anything pass the check in desk SINK ESPECIALLY THE ROOM…the tub is diiirty and there are all kinds of cracks in the structure…this is no where near the pictures they have posted now

My wife and I were there for 5 nights. The very first day I complained about the water not being hot for showers or anything else. I then sent a note to SONESTA CORPORATE. Nothing happened to fix the problem. We just had 5 days of warm to colder showers. I will not stay at a Sonesta hotel again.

I stay at Sonesta each time I come to Houston. It doesn’t matter the event, this place is clean, quiet, comfortable, and affordable. The staff is easy to get along with and accommodating.

First time staying here and we probably won’t return. We reserved a roll in shower accessible room but when we checked in, we got a standard room. The guest service guy told us the booking code was different from their booking code so they do not have that room. He got me another room with an accessible shower but little pressure from the water and the room did not cool down even running the AC for hours. The room was a little outdated. Chips on doors and paint peeling from the walls. Hallways were dark and the floors are uneven and a little dirty. The only pro to this stay was the staff are friendly and helpful.
