Very comfortable budget hotel. Good staff. Great breakfast included. Beside train station. The only downside is that it’s not close to the lake or any sites you want to see, like the Hikone Castle. Would definitely stay there again.

Much larger than your standard business hotel. Very close to train station and 20mins walk to Hikone castle. Good breakfast too. Overall great value and we even got a view of the castle from our room!

Good hotel but wifi doesn't work with my phone
It is a small business hotel. You can't expect a lot from a business hotel but it was clean and convenient. However the WiFi doesn't work with my phone (Xiaomi) which was a real issue to me.

Booked the hotel mainly because of breakfast but the quality was very very bad. Please avoid the hotel if you prefer a goof buffet breakfast. Also requested for an iron and ironing board but they didnt provide one and I was wearing all wrinkled apparels through the trip

The location of the hotel is near the station. A very good izakaya is around. Good staff. Insufficient car park during peak season but compensated with nearby pay car park.

Comfortable and value for money
It was a very enjoyable stay at Comfort Hotel Hikone . The rooms are clean and modern looking. We requested for extra pillows and they were delivered to our rooms by a front office staff. Did not expect such service from a business hotel. Front office staff could speak enough English and were helpful. It was raining and umbrellas were laid out for guests to use. The free breakfast was simple but adequate. Hotel is directly opposite JR station yet free parking was offered to those who drive. Coin operated washing machine and dryers were available. It really was a value for money hotel. Highly recommended. Just a 10 minute walk across the road are Aeon Town, uniqlo and Daiso for retail therapy.

Next to train station, has laundromat, great staff, very clean, quiet, understood that breakfast had to be less Japanese than other hotels but wished it was a fully Japanese breakfast. Great stay, would definitely stay there again if I were to return to Hikone.

It’s a great hotel. Nice low price with clean rooms and a nice breakfast buffet. Close to Hikone train station and near shopping and restaurants.

Nice hotel in back of train station.
Nice economic hotel which included breakfast. An easy walk to the train station. Shops and restaurants were on the other side of station but only 5 minutes walk. Room was small which is typical for Japan.

Hikone good to visit
Convenient to station. Nice walk to castle. Another walk to castle ruins. We were able to borrow bikes to ride along the river to the lake. Breakfast was good.

We enjoyed the proximity of Hikone station as well the walking distance to the Hikone castle. Nice breakfast buffet as well and helpful reception staff

Hotel room was compact but extremely clean, bed was only a double but comfortable. Short stroll down the Main Street to the Castle, some great restaurants along the main road and close to JR station. Great for a night stopover.

New and modern hotel close to Rail station
Hotel is very basic for a new facility. Rooms and bathrooms are very small. 3 PM check-in time is strictly enforced, even though the hotel is operating well below capacity. Free (included) breakfast is very basic but adequate. Mainly Japanese items (understandably), but some western choices. Location is convenient to JR Station, but there are not many restaurants in this area. About a 15 minute walk to the castle grounds.

Perfect for short stays
This hotel is geared toward business travelers, but it's also great for vacationers who don't need fancy, oversized rooms. The staff are super friendly, rooms are compact and have everything you would need, the included breakfast has a nice Japanese/Western selection, it's clean, affordable, and is conveniently located across the street from the JR station. It is also in walking distance of Hikone castle.

Clean and friendly place, close to the train station (1 min walk) and food outlets (5-10 mins depending on what you are looking for) just down the road. Hikone castle was about a 10-15 min walk away. They had bicycles that we could borrow for no cost - allowed us to travel further around the town and see a little more. Room was very clean although small but that is not unusual for Japan. Didn't bother us too much as we only needed a place to shower and sleep and were outdoors the rest of the time. Loved the complimentary breakfast - nice range of food to chose from.

Proximity to train station was helpful. Pleasant walk to castle. Train station and main street had a lot of restaurants as well as a grocery store. Room was small for a couple but the price was very cheap and very clean. Morning breakfast was good.

This hotel was a good value and close to Hikone-jo. It was a little hard to get to because it's located behind the train station. It was extremely clean, and the breakfast was free though not especially delicious. The rooms are small (typical size for a Japanese business hotel) but brand-new and nice. The pillows are sort of strange, and I woke up with a stiff neck. There are ads around the hotel about the superiority of these pillows, though, so maybe I'm just a weirdo. By contrast, my friend said that his back pain went away after spending the night here. There are probably hotels with more character in the area, but this one will serve you well if you just want a nice place to spend the night.

The room is roomier than the typical Japanese hotel room. Clean, convience location (across the street from the Hikone train station), free breakfast (not the best, but free).The staff is very friendly & ready to help. Some do speak a little English
