Best value for money hotel !
Fantastic value for money (we paid less that £60 for dinner, bed and breakfast). Great place to stay after a long day on the road. Little bit dated and a favourite of coach parties and mostly retired couples. We are in our 50's and were the youngest people there! But couldn't fault the staff on reception and the room was spacious (included a separate lounge) and spotlessly clean. Beautiful area - forests and hills everywhere.

Not recomended ! Very strange place
We booked this hotel in advance through Hotels.com Arrived at 10 pm to this place, Hotel doors were open but reception was closed and there is no one around, except two hanging around drunk strangers. Place looks very strange and filthy and absolutely unsecured for families. It was bad experience for our family, especially after driving all the way from France to Germany. Seems to be Hotel management don not care about customers, if there is any Very strange and bad attitude ! Do not recomend to any one !

This experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms are pretty and clean. We received the room we asked for. The breakfast service was outstanding, and the hotel has a nice pool and a small playground. There were several drawbacks, however. WiFi is €6 for 24 hours, which is pretty outrageous in an industry where free WiFi is becoming the norm. I would have paid it, nonetheless, if the front desk was ever staffed, but it appears to close at 4 pm. The restaurant attached handles checkins after hours. We also asked for a crib by email before our arrival, and requested it again in person the next morning, but it never arrived. It is hard to resolve issues when the front desk staff is never there.

Stopped on our way through Germany back from Italy. Basic hotel but good sized family rooms. Reception was closed when we arrived at 9pm but the bar staff were helpful. Pool/sauna not very suitable for children, lots of naked men!! On the plus side - Good breakfast so good value

Good half way point between Austria & UK
We have stayed 3 times now and have always been pleased with the service and hotel. The third time, however, the carpet is our room was stained in places and also there was a dirty towel in the bathroom, but folded up along with the clean towels.

Nice town, nice location. Breakfast great and large clean room. but quite dark , particularly the bathroom. Overall decor is a little dated and could do with brightening up. Although we arrived quite eary reception was not manned which seemd odd as the hotel is quite big. Anway a sign directed us to the restaurant, a bit of a trek, where we received our key and directions to the room. If you are going to the town and expect to be back late check that your room door key does open the main hotel doors. Ours did not and we were tol; that this was not uncommon. Pool looked fine and the park opposite was a nice place to relax but also needs a little tidying up. Possibly not the hotel's responsibility but their name is over the park entrance. However, excellent value for money.

Lovely hotel - family room was great, 2 bedrooms. 1 with twin beds, one main room with double bed and sitting area. Separate shower room (no bath). Hotel spotless and peaceful. Great area for exploring this part of Germany. We found plenty to do with two children (6 and 10). Plenty of walks in the forest. Local town has a couple of restaurants and hotel has buffet breakfast which was good if limited, and buffet for evening meal. We had breakfast which was fine for the family - but didn't sample the evening meal. We ate in town at italian/german cafe near church and at the local lake/pond cafe/restaurant (which shuts at 19:00 - so be careful). Food delicious at both places.

Nice hotel
We used this hotel as a stopover on our way through Germany. Arrived late and doors closed so rang reception and was told were our keys had been left so that we could let ourselves in. Room was comfortable and enjoyed a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very good, massive selection and staff were friendly. Overall a nice place and very scenic positioning too. Would recommend especially for a walking holiday.

Very Friendly and Helpful Staff
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the room was an excellent size and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful but quiet so if you are looking for a busy city it is necessary to rent a car. There is a lot to do (even more if it doesn't rain!) but I would definately recoomend making the most of what the hotel staff know.

Erholung im Pfälzer Felsenland
Tolle, ruhige Lage direkt am Waldrand, so dass man direkt loswandern kann. Wir hatten 2 DZ im obersten Stock mit Blick auf die Felsen rund um den Ort. Nachts beleuchtete "Gipfelkreuze", eine tolle Stimmung. Waren rundum zufrieden und haben auch ein paar Bahnen im erfrischenden Innenpool gezogen. Abends waren wir im Hotelrestaurant essen, konnten gemütlich draußen sitzen, gute pfälzischer Küche, keineswegs zu teuer, eher ģünstige Pfälzerwald-Preise. Jederzeit wieder. Danke an das freundliche Personal!

Wer keine ansprueche stellt kann hier nicht enttaeuscht werden, Dieses Hotel hat dringend eine general ueberholung noetig. Fruehstuecksbueffet mit plastik tischdecken kein frisches obst nur abgepackte wurst, Sehr traurig die angelegenheit. Zimmer mit alten Teppich? Hat vor 20 jahren bessere Zeiten gesehen.

Wir bewerten die Situation so, daß das Hotel sich im Umbruch befindet. Aus alt mach neu. Hoffentlich recht bald. Der Teppichboden im Zimmer 116 ist eine Katastrophe. Dadurch leitet auch die Zimmersauberkeit und der Komfort ab. Die Außenanlage und auch der gegenüberliegende Park läßt zu Wünschen übrig.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel à l'aller et au retour de nos vacances. Nous sommes une famille avec 2 enfants de 11 et 13 ans et avons apprécié la suite familiale composé d'une grande chambre avec lit double, salon, salle de bain et chambre séparée pour les enfants avec 2 lits séparés. Propreté impeccable au niveau de la litérie comme des sanitaires. Petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet varié et de qualité (un peu dommage la moquette au sol, forcément tâchée). Petit plus: la piscine et le sauna (mais l'eau de la piscine est très froide). Seul bémol: les oreillers trop mous.

We hebben dit hotel geboekt om te overnachten onderweg naar ons vakantieadres en waren aangenaam verrast door hetgeen ons geboden werd voor betrekkelijk weinig geld;de kamer is eenvoudig maar netjes en het warm eten heel goed voor het geld (15 euro 4 gangen buffet)

Wenn die Besitzer eines Hotels nichts investieren,
dann ist der Teppichboden schmuddelig, blättert überall der Lack ab, funktioniert der Lift nicht und fällt einem die Duschtür beim Duschen entgegen. Das Hotel ist nicht zumutbar.

2 Übernachtungen reichen völlig. Die Umgebung ist schön ruhig gelegen, ca. 23 km von Pirmasens entfernt, Parkplätze kostenlos vor dem Hotel. Leider ist das Hotel in der Zeit stehen geblieben. Innen sehr altbacken und rustikal - unsere Zahnputzbecher hatten leider noch Spuren vom Vorgänger und auf dem großzügigen Balkon mit Blick ins Grüne lag noch das Laub vom letzten Herbst. Ansonsten Spinnenweben auch im Frühstücksraum. Nutzt der Hotelgast über einem die Toilettenspülung oder Wasser rauscht es unten sehr hellhörig. Frühstück ist sehr einfach: Marmelade, Nutella, eine Sorte Käse, Wurst, Brötchen und Brot, lauwarmer Kaffee und Saft. Wenn man nach frischen Kaffee fragt, bekommt man aber welchen. Das Abräumen des alten Geschirrs kann sich trotz nicht allzu vollem Frühstücksraum aber doch ganz schön hinziehen - ganze 20 Minuten hatte es gedauert, bis die Kellnerin verlassene Tische neben uns abräumte.. Schön ist der kleine aber saubere Hotelpool im Inneren. Hier kommt kleine Wellness-Laune auf... leider war die Sauna außer Betrieb. W-Lan ist gebührenpflichtig .

schöne Lage, guter Service, prima Frühstück !
Ich wolte mich nur ein paar Tage zurück ziehen und für mich allein sein. Das Landhotel Wasgau war mir bekannt, da ich vor ca. 15 Jahren mit meinem verstorbenen Mann, und unserem Kegel-Club ein verlängertes Wochenende verbrachten und auch sehr zufrieden waren.

Ausgangspunkt in einer fantastischen Wanderregion
Keine Erwartungen haben, dann wird man nicht enttäuscht. Das Zimmer 215 meiden, denn nachts hört man die Umwälzpumpe des Schwimmbades. Der Hotelmanager behauptet jedoch, daß das nicht sein kann. Dem Frühstück fehlt es an etwas Frischen (z. B. Obst) und vollwertigen Brötchen.

Er was een misverstand in de betaling tussen Hotels.com en het hotel! Wij hebben vooraf betaald, het hotel dacht van niet? Uiteindelijk hebben ze de Nederlandse tekst "Je boeking is volledig betaald" aanvaard....... Hotels.com zou de communicatie met het hotel moeten verbeteren - misschien in dit geval ook de tekst in het Duits vertalen.

'luftkurort' voor liefhebbers
boven verwachting plezierig hotel om meerdere dagen te verblijven - in leuk dorp en prachtige regio (nabij wijnstraat) - volledig gerenoveerde kamer - alles spiksplinternieuw - alleen jammer van de zeer harde matrassen op de bedden (niet geschikt voor mensen met rugklachten) - prima prijs / kwaliteit verhouding (zeker gelet op ook nog een overdekt zwembad en sauna)

Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet, ordentlich und sauber.Das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und altmodisch, aber sauber. Preis - Leistung ist ok.Wer im schönen Pfälzer Wald ein paar Tage verbringen möchte ist dort gut aufgehoben und kann von dort aus alles unternehmen.

Buchung und Service waren ok. Das Zimmer war geräumig, jedoch der muffige Geruch (bedingt durch den alten Teppichboden und die Gardinen) war unerträglich. Der Lüftungsschacht im Badezimmer war so verdreckt und der Geruch kaum auszuhalten. Die Betten waren viel zu weich und das Schwimmbad aus "Gesundheitsgründen" geschlossen. Dies alles führte dazu, dass wir vorzeitig abgereist sind.
