Pictures are deceiving! The place looks great online so we opted to get the executive room. We stayed in a hostel for the 10th the price that was 100× nicer and cleaner in Danang. Room - Smelled awful. I had a hard time sleeping the first night and had to air out the room. - The furniture was old and falling apart - The door to the room was hard to shut even the worker who showed us to our room struggled to close it - The balcony was small which was not a surprise but the door did not lock properly. It looked like someone had broken the locks. If you pulled slightly hard it would open. - The listing says sound proof but i could hear almost every sound from our neighbor Bathroom - MOLD! MOLD! MOLD! - The shower had cracks on all sides of the tub that allowed water to fall down the sides. - There was a small nasty shower curtain that was yellow and stained - The glass on the side of the tub was a good 3 inches from the tub allowing water to get trapped there and mold to grow - There was mold on the base around the sink Staff - Decent but never gave us any information - We had laundry done and a local shopped dropped something off at the front desk for us but we were never notified of either. The phone didnt has a number listed for the front desk. - The laundry came back with a small stain on a white shirt but smelled clean Location - Great! Everything is closeby and easy to get to. Our driver actually took us to the MDV Luxury hotel and we walked to the Legend.

Overpriced hostel room and unprofessional service
The hotel is not fully air conditioned. Air conditioning is only focused at one side of the bed. Gym was musty and equipment was old. There was a bad smell at the lobby. Should have cancelled the booking upon arrival but decided to give it a chance. Was promised that a refund can be made for the 2nd night but not given. Even after getting confirmation from hotels.com. Staff claimed the manager mentioned did not exist. Other then the location which there are multiple other hotels in the area. Please do not consider it.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old quarter, providing quick access to the beautiful madness that is Vietnam's street culture. The hotel was very accommodating, sending a driver to pick me up who navigated the streets swiftly and skillfully, like he was auditioning for a James Bond stunt driver position. After the thrilling ride I was greeted by the front doorman who immediately got my luggage for me and offered me a refreshing glass of something fruity. The receptionist then helped me exchange currency, and get a sim for my phone, probably saving my dopy American butt from getting scammed three times before I got to my room. The room itself was clean and far quieter than I anticipated based on the location. I was on the 7th floor though so your mileage may vary. The hotel provides Samsung smartish tvs that are a few years old but work fine if you want to stream to it and the shower and bathroom both felt new and clean. Breakfast seems to change depending on the day but always includes hot rice with corn or noodles, sausage, bacon, toast, assorted ingredients to make a sandwich, and freshly cooked eggs uppon request. There is also fruit and dessert type pastries as well as juice I think... Just know that you will have a lot of good options for breakfast. It's not an overstatement to say the hotel was the sturdy anchor that made navigating the exciting, tumultuous sea of Hanoi's Old Quarter a breeze.

Didn’t really rate the property. 2x. Singles pushed together to make a king. Single sheets overlapping each other instead of king sheets. no top sheets and hard as a rock. Couldn’t change the temp in the shower. Smaller room then stated and a window into what was more like an exhaust vent. Much better value for money around Hanoi. Glad we only booked a night.

The room has weird smell coming from the washroom. Breakfast selections are very limited as compared to other hotels in Hanoi. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to family and friends as there are better options in the same price range.

Hannah and her friends and doorman were amazing, staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and I slept like a baby. Location is excellent, right in the heart of the old town. Food places are all around you ...turn right out of the hotel and 5 or 6 doors down on left is a restaurant that's cheap and clean and they understand some English. Hotel offers taxi from airport for $20 , I recommend it so you don't get stuck looking for address, a taxi driver will await you at airport. Enjoy your stay

This hotel is a little piece of heaven! The staff is very helpful. The front desk staff answered our questions in English. They found our group of six people a driver for a private tour during Tet. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. Breakfast is excellent!

Beautiful and clean hotel located in the old quarter. Fantastic location. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Room is clean and spacious. Balcony is very close to the balcony next door so doesn’t have much privacy. Overall a wonderful stay!

The hotel is right in Old Town yet it is super clean and very quiet. The staff was super and always ready to help us navigate the city. And we loved the breakfast buffet. A lot of detail went into making sure there was something for every taste. Would choose this hotel anytime traveling in Hanoi.

This hotel is new, clean and it was a comfortable stay. Staff service was good and prompt too. Located in Old Quarters, it is not in a busy street which may be a good thing as it will not be as noisy. Selection of cooking styles for breakfast egg station is impressive - I tried Florentine and it was tasty.

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Bonsella which is deserving of a 5* Rating. Hotel is conveniently located in the Old Quarters, priced reasonably, English speaking staff, expeditious check-in, rooms new and clean and best of all is the top-notch service. Emails were sent to offer and confirm transport arrangements. Even though our Halong Bay and Sapa Tours were not arranged through the hotel, the front desk staff (Kimmie) was responsive to alert us when our pick-ups arrived and kept the same respective rooms on both occasions when we checked back at the hotel. When my son did not have enough time for breakfast, Kimmie helped to have some food packed for him to eat on our long ride to Halong Bay. Another door staff, Henry made sure all arrival guests were served juice/coffee while waiting for our check-in. He also ensured that all our luggage bags were already parked in our rooms each time we checked back at the hotel after our tours. Additionally Bonsella served A la carte and buffet breakfast which was good. Beds come with hard and soft pillows which were thoughtful. The only con is that our rooms could hear the noise from the road as there are many food stalls near the hotel. Will definitely stay in Bonsella Prestige should we return.

Folks at this property are thoughtful, warm and hospitable. Book it for personalized service and location. My experience was flawless with room upgrade, prompt revert, great tips and helping me out with Halong bay package. In fact i cancelled my airbnb for this property in the second leg of the stay

The receptionists (esp. Kimmy) are very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Check in is quick. Room is clean, quiet and the bed and pillows are comfortable.Two bottles of water are provided daily in the room. Breakfast has a great variety of choices (Western, Vietnamese and fruits) with good quality. The location is in old town. Feel safe to walk in the neighbour hood. Circle K food mart is just next to the hotel. Only con is the streets are narrow and busy with motor cyclists. Will stay in this hotel again next time.

From beginning to end, this was a 5 star stay. Service is excellent and location is PERFECT for class accessibility to old quarter sights and sounds. Lou and Sophie at the Front Desk were AMAZING. Sophie went above and beyond to ensure our Halong Bay Cruise was booked properly and notified me when I mistakenly did not book enough nights at the Bonsella Hotel! Sophie is a Super Star! Kevin was fantastic every morning with his attentive breakfast service and smile. Lots of restaurants with a variety store right next door. We arranged for an airport pickup and after traveling 26 hours, our ride was not outside the airport at 0100. After calling the hotel, the staff profusely apologized and arranged for an alternate ride at their cost. Several calls were made to confirm our airport pickup location, type of vehicle and license plate number. A smooth ride once we resolved the pickup challenge. But what was important to us was the prompt manner that this issue was resolved. Breakfast was superb. Great variety of food with a la carte hot items. Very clean and modern facilities. Lots of hot water and pressure. Comfy beds too. Hanoi was our first stop in Vietnam and honestly, the service in the other 4 cities paled in comparison to the excellent customer service at the Bonsella Hotel. Well Done Everyone! I would definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonsella Prestige Hotel and Spa. The staff are very friendly, spoke good English and were very helpful. The provision of a map with recommended places to eat and visit was great. The breakfast was amazing! The only downsides were that the rooms could be a little noisy (but probably can't be avoided given the great location) and they advertised nail services for their spa but did not actually have this available. Overall though, great place to stay!
