Beautiful hotel. Great location. Staff were awesome. My only suggestion would be to have a small conscience store to get water or snacks for kids. Only stayed one night but it was fantastic. The plaza walk was really cool. Loved the heated bathroom floors too! Thank you!

Westin Hamburg September 2023
Fantastic hotel, great location at the concert hall and wonderful views of Hamburg. Just a couple of ‘even better if’ items: - It’s too easy to select the Wi-Fi option you have to pay for, so much so nearly everyone does it. They don’t quibble but it’s an unnecessary conversation with reception. - Like a lot of other places I have stayed recently, they assume you have used the mini-bar, even if you haven’t. Maybe because they provide complementary water. - Basically, don’t do express check-out, go to reception and check your folio. - One evening we went to the hotel bar and wanted to order some cakes, but apparently the chef had packed them away. We ordered cheese and biscuits instead but the portion was tiny!

Unfortunately, we developed COVID prior to coming, so had to stay in the room a lot. The great news is that the views were incredible and hotel and staff were very accommodating. Overall, this hotel is amazing.

This is our second stay at the Elfi. It is a fantastic hotel. Our room on the 18th floor with water view was incredible, very spacious and modern. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It is centrally located and easily accessible to public transportation. We can highly recommend staying here.

Bathroom suggestions for more practicability
We very much appreciated the champagne welcome, and the very friendly and welcoming overall atmosphere! Everyone was extremely nice to us! A small table by the sofa would have been very helpful to place a cup or class. I wonder if anyone ever used the shower controls with wet and soaping hands? It is impossible to turn the sleek knobs, and they are not marked for hot or cold, nor for the rain shower or the handheld piece. It is very inconvenient, especially being a women, who does not want to be surprised by an uncontrollable rain from above! I found the towels hard and dated.

Great hotel, needs to move up service
Great place to be; Excellent room with a great view over city and harbor; Great breakfast with huge choice; Visited a concert in Elbphilharmony and wanted to eat afterwards. Came to the Restaurant which was open until 23:00, when wanting to order we got told kitchen closes at 22:00

Check in was a breeze! Room was plush. Pool was well managed. Lounge bar has one of the best panorama possible and delicious cocktails. Helpful staff and sign of a healthy management, overall. The only, obvious but less-favorite part was to realize the room missed a view (for our booking category room). The windows are completely blocked for the architecture of the (masterpiece) building. This was an unique experience, so to say. Felt like this should come as warning. Almost, a little claustophobic.

Nice hotel but it was overpriced. For the price we paid, we expected to have a real window with a view of the city instead of looking at the glass wall right in front of the window. The room layout was also not the best.

Very disappointed
Couldn’t be more disappointed with what was supposed to be a romantic get away. I booked a room For 2 nights at The Westin in Hamburg for my wife and I 10 year anniversary. Was meant to be a special weekend for us as it was our 1st weekend away without you kids in over 2 years. I booked a room with a “view” as of course I wanted to pop a bottle of champagne, whilst sitting with a view over the city after arriving to celebrate. On arrival to the room, I opened the curtains only to find out that we were staring directly into a wall. There was no “view” at all. On check out I spoke to the lady behind the desk to voice my disappointment, only to be told that this was a view, as my room had a window and that, if I wanted a room with a view, then I should have in fact ordered the room with harbour view. Both my wife and I left the hotel feeling absolutely deceived and mislead, as we genuinely thought that it was a mistake after rechecking my booking. Furthermore, being woken up at 09.05 on Saturday morning with a knock on the door from a man wanting in for cleaning, is just not ok! Furthermore again, in the afternoon we decided to try the spa facilities, only to come down a child in the pool doing countless “bombs” in the pool. A spa is meant to be relaxing and for adults in my eyes. All in all an extremely disappointing weekend on the accommodation front. Wish we chose another hotel but we expected so much from what was meant to be the best of the best in Hamburg.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the disappointing experience you had during your stay with us. We are sorry that the room description led to a misunderstanding. In fact, only our rooms with "Harbour view" have a direct view of the port of Hamburg and the Elbe. Furthermore, we would like to apologize for the disturbance in the morning by the housekeeping. Our housekeeping starts work in the morning, as it is usual in most hotels. Please hang the sign with the words "Please do not disturb" on the outside of the door. This way you avoid knocking and entering the room by our staff. We are also sorry that you were disturbed by a child in our spa. Our spa is also open for children during a certain period of time. Unfortunately we cannot always influence the behaviour of other guests. Unfortunately we cannot undo your negative experiences you made in our hotel, but we would be pleased if you would give us another chance to convince you of our services.
