Great hotel with easy access to city and beyond
We stayed in this hotel for a family gathering. Overall the hotel was great and the included breakfast was a great way to start the day. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The only thing we have to mark down is the cleaners who do not seem to understand the do not disturb signs and on multiple occasions even undid the inside lock in order to barge into the room... We reported this to reception on our last day when we finally got fed up with it and they promised to address this with the head of cleaning.

a review of the Panorama Inn Hotel
Check-in was very straightforward. The room was clean and warm. The beds were comfortable. Bedside lights needed replacing. Extra pillows were readily provided and an a wake up call proved reliable. Breakfast was excellent and served over a long time period. Evening meals were taken at Einsteins - a homely ranch-style restaurant twenty meters away from the hotel main entrance. The food was excellent and quite cheap - 30 euros for two people having a soft drink, a main course and a dessert each.. We walked several times to the nearby U-barn station of Bilstedt - five hundred metres from the hotel. Therefore this hotel is easily accessed from the public transport system (which, in itself, is very well-signed and easy to navigate - even by people who speak no German!). I would certainly recommend this budget hotel to any visitor to Hamburg.

The location is fine. However, the drainages of bathtub and sink were terrible. Water could not flow out smoothly. Wall in the bathroow was too dirty. Security for room guests to temporarily keep their luggages was not good. There were no any acknowledgement receipt for room guests. It meant that anyone can go inside to pick ANY luggages.

A good basic hotel
The hotel is fine and I've stayed there several times, it's my regular choice of hotel when I visit my relative in Hamburg. What ruined my stay was lack of sleep because other guests were so noisy into the early hours. Not the fault of the hotel, though!

The Panorama inn was a very pleasant place to stay while attending SMM for the week, the Einstein bar next door was good and the train is not far away

Overpriced at €200 a night just because an exhibition was on in Hamburg. I'd put this hotel at two star and €50 a night max. Poor transport links and really outdated rooms. No bar or food service either.

Nightmare hotel
I have travelled all around the world and stayed in many hotel and I can conclude that this hotel, by far, is one of the most terrible places I have experienced. My original booking was 5 nights and after one night I booked , through expedia.com, and for a few extra EURO's per night extra a great hotel downtown in Hamburg. Actually I had booked 2 rooms as some friends of ours joined us on our travels as well. Entering the room we were surprised to see the dirty carpet. and a poorly cleaned room. WIFI ? 1 hour for free and then pay 4 Euro's per day. so we paid and still the WIFI did not work. We needed a ironboard which, in my experience was always complementory. They wanted a 10 EURO deposit for that and you had to drag it yourself from the reception up to your room. Only one elevator working for the duration of my stay and since this hotel clearly is a transit hotel for buss traveling visitors, we had to walk 10 stories up the stairs because the elevator simply could not cope with the tremendous amount of people. Breakfast was also like going on a safari trip trying to eat something with the tremendous amount of people is an experience itself. If you ever book this hotel, ask the staff how you need to open the garage door I will not review it but is sure is Hilarious and tragic at the same time. I filed a complaint with Cheaptickets requesting a full refund.

easy stay
the check in was late and friendly. parking was at a premium but the hotel has an agreement with locals. you pay the 1 hour fee to get a ticket, they give you a pass that attaches to the ticket for your windshield. it is good til at least 9:00am the following day. the hotel is clean and the breakfast was plentiful. service was good. nice job all

We found this hotel on Expedia and it looked like a good price. It is about 5 minutes walk from the U-Bahn so was good for our short trip to Hamburg. The staff were very helpful and spoke English which helped. The room was sold as a double but it was actually a twin. The hotel advertises wi-fi in the room which it doesn't say is only free for 30 minutes and after that you have to pay 4 Euro a day. Having paid for a 3-day pass the signal strength was so poor it was unusable all weekend.

A good hotel
I always stay at the Panorama Inn when I come to Hamburg to visit my cousin. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are pleasantly furnished and comfortable. The neighbourhood seems to have a largely Turkish population and it is well-served by the Billstedt Centre, which has excellent shops and facilities. The U-Bahn operates a frequent service into the city and on an after 0900hours day ticket will cost just 6Euros for as many journeys as you can make: the city is about a 10-15 minute tube journey away.

Just stayed one night. Hotel and room were very hot. Even opening the windows did not help. Room was outdated and free Wifi for only one hour. Breakfast was fine. Quite a tourist hotel, an ordinary stay, nothing more.

Christmas Break
We tend to go to Hamburg most years for the Christmas Markets. Getting almost as busy as Frankfurt now but great fun. Hotel is well placed for local restaurants and especiallly the Billstedt Center and adjacent U-Bahn. Very comfortable, great breakfasts and the fridge is a real boon if you get a room with one. As it happened this year through no fault of the hotel a water main burst and on our last day no water. But the hotel were great by transferring people over the road to the sister Panorama Hotel for showers, ablutions and breakfast. Very efficient. Highly recommended.

Rooms are clean but carpet stinks. Hotel reception can't help with sightseeing. Close to U bahn station but too far from city center. It's a very old property. Not recommended for leisure trips.

Perfect Stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and large. The sheets and towels were clean. Our room had two separate twin beds but we put them beside each other. The breakfast was really excellent. The only problem is that it is far from the city center. But it is easily accessible by train and it takes about 30 minutes.

Hotel was very convenient for shops and travel links into Hamburg centre. The room was very comfortable and always extremely clean. The breakfasts were full of choice. Good value for money and i would definately stay again.

Too far from Hamburg city centre. Costs 25 euros in taxi to get there and 25 euros back. Would be better used to pay for room in another hotel. Nothing of note around the area. The impression given is that it is nearer to city than it is.

Not what we expected from the website which appeared to feature the main hotel across the road. The hotel at which we stayed had no dining facilities although there was a bar serving food close by. The location was poor, a rather downtrodden suburb of Hamburg. The staff were overwhelmed with large coach loads of tourists and had no real interest in their guests (we were travelling by car). Breakfast was very crowded and staff seemed uninterested in the guests. The corridor and lobby were air-conditioned but not the bedrooms which were very hot (we had booked for the outward and return journey as we were on our way to a sailing holiday in Sweden)

very nice hotel
The hotel is very clean, rooms are big enough and breakfast is great. There is a big shopping mall just close to the hotel and a very cozy restaurant/pub at the first floor. Parking is underground and is free. I definitely recommend it to both family, group of friends and lovers.

Good for the price but with a few issues
The hotel is very nice. For the budget price we paid for the night in Hamburg it was very good. My two complaints are: The room, though it was non smoking, smelled decently strongly of smoke. and my other complaint is: the hotel attracts college kids who have been partying and were banging on the walls and door for a few hours of the night, which is of course not the hotel's fault. The neighborhood isn't the nicest, but it seemed safe. The hotel staff is very friendly though, and the free continental breakfast, something rare for a cheap German hotel, was very good.

This is a basic good quality hotel with few frills. Location is close to railway station somwhat out of town, close to an industial quarter (good for me). There is no web access from room available, but there is a free controlled access to a terminal on ground floor. No tea making in room, but room quality otherwise good and clean. Breakfast was buffet, nothing lavish but satisfactory. No dinner served, but pleanty of cheap restuarants within a very short walk. You are not paying top dollar here, but getting a fair deal. The sister hotel over the road has more services but costs a lttle more.

Geräusche am Gang, waren sehr gut zu hören. Der Lift ließ ständig auf sich warten, wodurch wir dann das Treppenhaus aufsuchten. Frühstückbuffet war in Ordnung.
