Staff are great, but I’m not sure why this hotel had such high ratings from other guests. There is nothing wrong with the hotel (it’s totally fine), but it is not 5-star. Scratchy sheets, clean but not spotless. Gym is the access route to the pool so constant traffic through it. Again- the hotel is totally fine and the staff are really friendly, but it’s more like a holiday inn than a 4-5 star hotel.

Great hotel in Halifax. Checking in and out is quick and easy. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great lobby bar. Close to Scotiabank Centre and Argyle St.

Great hotel. Pool was lovely. Very kid friendly; daughters were given “ prince george” toy frogs and free freezies at check in. Room service was quick and priced the same as eating in the restaurant.

We had dinner at Gio and Olivia made our night really special. Also upon checkin we were given a room with a better view. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We forgot a toothbrush a got a free one. We loved the king bed! We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the hotel was packed with children running up and down the halls/adults and children sitting in the halls/children cartwheeling in the halls/children yelling. My husband and I booked a spontaneous date weekend. The reviews were great, so we chose this hotel. Clearly, we should have checked in with surrounding areas to look for any competitions/events. We were unable to use the pool/hot tub/sauna as the children were in it from dusk till dawn. We did try to go down around 9:30PM, thinking the children would be in bed. But it was still packed. We did try, but we just felt uncomfortable with the unattended children in the sauna with us. We were simply trying to have a relaxing weekend. Unfortunately, we did not. We will not be returning. We paid a good amount of money, so we are incredibly disappointed. We wish, upon check in, that we at least had a heads up. We would have been willing to pay extra to be on another floor. Don’t get me wrong. I can’t fault children, for being children. They were having a great time. We simply would have stayed elsewhere, or paid extra to be on a different floor, had we known.

What a lovely older building - the staff were friendly and attentive. My room was a little on the older side and showing some wear and tear - but was comfy. I would definitely stay again.

The property is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. The one concern I had was the location of the dispensers for body wash, shampoo and conditioner. They are mounted on the wall of the combination bath/ shower making the floor of the bath very slippery when used. They are also difficult to dispense. Other hotels have better dispensers and easier to use locations.

Room was a bit small and didn’t have the kettle I requested, however, it was so clean! And fresh and beautiful! The beds were the most comfortable of our trip! Great service, Loved it…we will be back!
