Location of the apartment was good, as was the self catering option and the staff were friendly enough, but the images on the site are not representative of the property itself and quite misleading. The whole block is very tired and not in great condition. Our beds were like campbeds pushed together, blankets with marks on them and curtains that didn't actually close properly so let the light in. Our balcony door didn't lock properly and was actually left open by housekeeping which was very frustrating. In the bathroom there is a fixed showerhead and the 'free toileteries' is a container of soap that wasn't replaced. The kitchenette was not fully equipped enough to be adequate for true self catering and the units were poorly fitted and broken, meaning the fridge often didn't fully close without us realising. Noise was the worst issue, the walls are paper thin and every door is a heavy fire door that people let slam all hours of the night so don't expect a decent nights sleep. Aircon isn't brilliant and the wifi is very sketchy, we complained at reception when it dropped up and they did said an engineer to fix it in fairness. Fine for youth hostel stays and stag dos but at 7 months pregnant this was not the best option for us, I was not comfy, would definitely not recommend it for the money and wouldn't stay again. The pictures on the site are there to fool people.

They own a few properties and they moved me around. It would have been fine but I arrived late at night. Then they were doing a shift change so made me wait (again fine) then they realized they put me in a different property and made me walk over but told me I’d get free breakfast. Got to the new place and then no breakfast…just kinda annoying that they just change and it wasn’t in the same location.

when we arrived we was happy with the accommodation then we shut the curtains and a swam of little flys were everywhere we had to go buy fly spray to help but i didnt we was being bitted by the flys felts so itch and dirty not happy at all contacted someone on chat to be told they cant help id have to go to reception which was a few streets away from our apartment tried calling reception no answer after this we didnt wanna sleep in the beds incase of bed bugs absolutely horrible never would i return to blu bay apartments

Was expecting to stay in another block to where we checked in but were directed to a studio within the 'main' building Everyone was helpful and efficient. The apartment was clean and the room was made up every day. Plenty of hot water. Not a particularly scenic area to stay but only 5 mins from the sea front. I'm sure the roof terrace and pool are used extensively in the Summer. Very very happy with what we got for the price we paid

Webs tayed in a 2-bedroom apartment. Good points include the view of the harbour, a balcony with table and chairs, and lots of space. The aircon was effective and quiet. The beds were ok, comfort wise, but if you were expecting a double it would be a problem. All beds at the property are singles pushed together. I had friends in a three-bedroom apartment upstairs where it was the same. WiFi was nonexistent. Never managed to connect in the whole week. Cleaning was patchy. Housekeeping seemed to come every day, to tidy the beds and empty the main kitchen bin. But not sure what else. Clean, unused towels were taken away some days. Other days they left new ones but only in one bathroom. The shower sliding door was completely detached from its runners. It fell out towards the wall the first time I used the shower so I never touched it after that. Decor was tatty and grubby, wall paper coming away from the walls and ugly marks on the walls and lampshades etc. Kitchen was big and had what was needed including a fridge and freezer. But beware they don’t supply even as much as a cloth to keep the space clean. You have to buy it all. Lift has a mind of its own and buttons don’t all work. The pool is not at the apartment, it’s on the roof of the hotel a minute away. Loungers and umbrellas. But they don’t have enough towels. Overall it was good enough and comfortable enough but just a bit less than advertised.

One of our best accomodations ever
Our stay was excellent. The property exceeded our expectations. Great value for money and the location of the property was great. 2 min from the bus station and close to major landmarks. All staff was very helpful and kind and the place was clean and very well equiped with everything you need. I would totally recomand staying at any of their properties as they have multiple hotels and apartments. Really nothing to complain about.

The original apartment we had was not very satisfactory or what was expected. But after we made this clear to management, we were able to change for a much better apartment. Very pleased with the service received overall. Although would have helped to know services such as Sauna was chargeable before hand. Otherwise, overall we had a pleasant stay.

Great Stay for the price
The apartments are actually spread around near the main building and you are taken to your building once you have checked in. We were staying in a lovely big apartment wiht balcony which was excellent value for the price we paid. There was no pool or restaurant in our building so I feel the images are a bit misleading. The bathroom and kitchen were fitted to a high standard. There is no washing machine in the apartment but there is a wonderful laundry service on Sir Ponsonby Street where you can drop your stuff off in the morning and they will wash it and dry it for you the same day for €8 a load. There are lots of little mini supermarkets around, some wont take cards so be aware. Wifi reception was excellent and really appreciated. The reception staff were extremely helpful and very hard working. thank you

't expect much, nothing great except the location.
I don't generally write reviews but thought it was worth my time and effort to do so this time. Let me start with the positives first: 1) Great location - but don't expect views or rooms as shown in the pictures on their site. Walking distance to bus stops, cruise harbour, restaurants and shops. 2) Apartment size was good and spacious 3) Some of the staff - especially the house keeping very friendly. Now the negatives: 1) The apartment was not clean and had several issues, like ACs not working in 2 of the 3 bedroom units. Finally Alex, the manager changed our apartment and the fortunately this all all ACs were working. 2) The kitchen lacked basics - for an apartment of 6, we had only 3 plates, no glasses for drinking water. The cooker was faulty and everytime we started the oven, the lights would go off the circuit breaker tripped. 3) All rooms have singled beds and the staff join 2 beds to create a double bed. No proper duvets provided despite the cold weather and what they term is blankets are actually polyester throws we use in UK. Mattresses are very bad and all of the us severe back ache every morning when we woke up. 4) The phone in the apartment was not working and despite several complaints, it was not fixed. 5) We had electricity issues in the complex when there were no lights in the apartments. No emergency lights provided. 6) House Keeping staff not provided with gloves by the hotel management. Hence they don't clean the basin and toilets well.

The wiew makes all the money
Wiew from the balcony is wonderful. Big living room with a small kitchen where the water has no pressure. Main bedroom cold because of the air conditioning not working. Bathroom from the main bedroom was from the north pole. Both bathrooms need repairs. Beds was OK to sleep on. Second bedroom if you open the window all the smell from the Turkish restaurant from the bottom of the building is coming in.

The Apartment was clean and tidy the only issue was the view wasn't what we were expecting. The air conditioner was placed in the bedrooms and none in the living area. It would have been comfortable for us to have a TV in the bedroom as the chairs were very uncomfortable to sit on for tall people. Overall it was ok.
