"Tenuta Cusmano was a highlight in our 11 day trip to Italy. It's an easy drive from the Rome Ciampino airport. Grottaferrata is a charming town, just a few short minutes from Tenuta Cusmano. We took a taxi to the neighboring town of Frascati everyday to catch the train into metropolitan Rome. The train was easy to navigate, and allowed us to leave our car at Tenuta Cusmano every day, so as to avoid the ZTLs. We stayed three nights. "Beautiful grounds with unique rooms and features. The rooms are small but have everything you need and the front desk does their absolute best to accommodate. Excellent food and gelato within a 5 minute walk in an extremely quiet and quaint neighborhood. A quick 20 minute bus ride to the Rome Metro station and another 20 minute train to Rome. Come here if you want to be close to Rome but not IN Rome! Bed is on the firmer side but very comfortable. Only complaint was air conditioning (cooling)...
