We came to Greenport for a wedding & hotel took advantage of all of us and charged us in season prices when half of this port town is closed in the winter with no refund once booked. No-one is ever at the front desk. And when someone is there they are not accommodating in the least. Very unhappy employees. Lobby is on two levels w/4 steps down & not handicapped accessible. One needs to go outside, walk around the building to access the front door in order to get the continental breakfast in the morning or coffee during the day. Try doing that in a wheelchair or walker in 32 degree weather! There is a fireplace that they don't turn on and not sure it even works. Very cold generic lobby. Rooms are very dark. Very little lighting & no OH lights. Bathroom shower controls are rusted and difficult to use. Dark as well so don't try putting on makeup. What's with that? No services at all. No room service, gym, restaurant, nothing. They even still have tiny bars of soap & no soap dish on the sink. No-one takes your luggage for you so you have to use one of their dollies and do it yourself checking in and out. The employees DON'T MOVE to help anyone, even the disabled. Worst hotel ever - stay at the Greenporter one block down the street. That was the other wedding hotel. 10x better for less $$ and with all the services and amenities incl a bar & full time restaurant, room service, a working fireplace & LIGHTS in the rooms & people that walk around w/ipads to cater to your needs!
