A little confusing with lay out of property. Close to Mather Point/south rim. Majestic! My only issue is the price. I'd book again for the convenience of location. Room was ok. Beds were too soft and not that comfortable.

Great location at the edge of the grand canyon village, which is better. Seemed chaotic in the main part of the village, so thankful for this location. On site dining option, good choice but does get busy and warm (we visited in mid may and temperature was ramped up every time we were in there, morning or evening) On site starbucks was good for a morning burrito and coffee also the market is on the other side of the car park with plenty of stock of items. Very short walk to catch the free bus to the village and red bus for Western rim spots, we got up for sunrise and walked to Yavapai point which is a 25-30minute walk or a short 3-4min drive. We stayed in the east buildings and we found it good for what it was and the addition of not needing to drive was even better.

Needed to aerate the room a bit when worked in; the shower knob was very hard to pull out; the room telephone did not work. Other than these, everything was good.

A place to regroup after a day in the wilderness. The lodge has a great offering of food, drink, and a big enough area to sit and be social. Much appreciated!

When we arrived late afternoon we were given a room number, later that night when we went to access the room the door did not open with our key. There was an employee inside the room who sent us to the front desk to get a new key. We were then given a new room by the manager. In the middle of the night while we were sleeping someone with a key opened our door and went inside without knowledge of someone else being there. This experience was awful and nonetheless unsafe.

A very nice lodge to stay within the park. Pretty comfortable and clean. The buildings are right in the forest with some lovely views. There is some okay food being offered on site with also a large store serving hot breakfast in the morning.

It was great to stay in the park. It was within walking distance to food and shuttle. It was convenient to have mini fridge and micro in room also. We even had a beautiful view as a bonus!

Rooms very clean, able to walk to diner and bar from rooms, AC gets very cold which is nice. Easy to access buses to get to see different parts of the canyon. No Wi-Fi but service is good

We saw some deer right near the lodge. Everything was clean and convenient but the food at the dining hall whike very good was cold

There was a big difference between the lobby area and the actual rooms. Although they were mostly renovated the bathrooms were not, and looked run down. Not what I expected at this price point.

Very nature based environment and was right in the park. However is is very expensive and the food that they serve at the cafeteria/restaurants are overpriced and not very good. The bathrooms were also run down with holes in the floors and in the ceilings. They needed an upgrade 5 years ago. It was cool to see elks walking around in the village and being right in the middle of nature though.

This was an amazing stay. Staff were friendly and we were in a great location to explore the Grand Canyon. The foot at the bar was amazing too and the portions were great. We had a great stay here and would definitely come back.

Stayed at Yavapai at Grand Canyon NP to be on the property. We were in 4 units due their poor condition. No air conditioning in the first unit. The second unit smelled of cat urine and had almost no light in the bathroom. 3rd unit had the same lighting problem. 4th unit had a little better lighting and we were getting tired after all the moves. The carpet was in bad shape/dirty. The bed was OK and it was relatively clean except for the carpet. The staff tried their best to help. Food was adequate, even good for breakfast. I think we would pay more for the east side or lodge another time. Expedia rooms seem to be the low end.

Obviously being right in the Grand Canyon is fantastic. The property though is old and beat up. Room is fine. Almost dorm room style halls. Nothing special, but it gets you to the park in a second.

Staying at the lodge was convenient for visiting the park. It was a bit expensive but that is to be expected for the convenience. Also the lodge rooms are fine for a one night stay but quite old and a bit musty. We did enjoy the magnificent night sky while at the lodge.
