Good Choice but perhaps not as long.Posted 01-Dec-2013
Pros: Staff were very friendly and the room service was excellent, although menu in restaurant was a bit limited. Hotel VERY clean and views are fab.
Cons: Breakfast was ok, but after day 4 I'd had enough. Couldn't bear to see the same thing over and over. Shame you couldnt order something to own taste.
Location: Beach great. Not much about however. Shops ok (for cheap duty free) but dont expect a new wardrobe!
The hotel staff are really friendly and professional Hotel really done up nicely inside though and room service was great! I decided to stay in the North of GC away from the normal tourist south. I was a bit shocked at how depressing Las Palmas seemed. Very 60s concrete feel to the place. Beach and beach front is great however and nice to escape the concrete feel of the city. Does feel a little "rough" out and about at first but after a while you realise it isn't, its just the buildings that bring it down. If I do GC again, will most likely stay in the south. Taxi to hotel about 25 mins, if that and about 35 euros max. Room was very spacious and cleaned everyday to excellent standard.

Maybe not the best choicePosted 17-Sep-2013
From far away (I arrived to Las Palma by ferry), the Hotel looks amazing. Its one of the highest buildings in the city with a nice architecture. But when you are getting closer you can see the age. The entrance looks very new, as well the elavators. But when you enter the room, you see again the age of the building. For example in my room, it was impossible to complitely close the door to the balcony.. when I spoke to my neighbors, they told me they have the same problems :/ and the same problem in the bath. There are a lot of facilities in the Hotel, for example a beautiful pool on the rooftop with poolbar an and amazing view over the city and the beach. And in the 24th floor there is a gym and a sauna.. At the moment when I was there I found on many things a sign with "out of service".. thats not nice if the advertise with that stuff.. At the end of my stay I was surprised that they have a free shuttle bus only for hotel guests to the airport. +++ In summary I can say, that there are some good things and some ba things. For example the problems with the door, where you can here the whole night the cars from the nearby street and the noise from the wind going into the room, are for me inadmissible things in a 4* Hotel. I think there are better Hotels at the same price.

Business quality hotel minutes to Las Palmas beachPosted 30-Aug-2013
Pros: Bedrooms. Rooftop swimming pool with available cocktails and complimentary airport shuttle bus
Cons: Local Shopping mall has seen better days, too many vacant shops and insufficient choice. Park area okay for coffee and cakes.
Location: Skateboarding park, las Palmas beach area and bus tour of Las Palmas.
Great hotel with comfortable, clean bedrooms. Business hotel, quiet , professional but quietly welcoming and accommodating. Our bedroom had an interesting view of the skate park, garden areas, the port and quirky designed fun theatre (which unfortunately was not open during our stay). It was very loud with weekday traffic from early morning but just close the veranda door as the air conditioner in the room was effective. We very much enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool area with mojitos on standby and beach towels available for a deposit. The very popular Las Plmas beach was only a 5 minute walk away and had wonderful facilities for disabled people. In fact we were very impressed by the facilities and welcoming attitude of locals as our daughter had a broken ankle and had to use a wheelchair, they even let her stay in her bedroom to rest for an extra couple of hours post check out for no extra charge whilst we waited for the complimentary transport to the airport. The restaurant had panoramic views but it and the gym were underused. To have been excellent, there needs to be free Wi Fi in the bedrooms with complimentary coffee/tea making facilities, a more extensive restaurant menu especially vegetarian options and the rooftop swimming pool area should be open from 10 to 10 rather than just 11am to 7pm and a wider range of cocktails and snacks. There should be lift access to the top 2 floors which host the gym and swimming pool areas. We loved the hotel, the area, the Island.

Nice hotel, near beach, great viewsPosted 27-Aug-2013
Cons: The pool closure during, particularly during high season was disappointing and no alternate arrangements were put in place.
The hotel staff were very helpful in general and the rooms were immaculate with a great view from the balcony. The only problem was that the pool was closed for half the week ad we received no notification about this, but overall a good hotel.

Good hotel near the maritime terminalPosted 24-Apr-2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at AC after coming from Tenerife by boat. The hotel is minutes away from the port by cab, which makes it very convenient if you show up late like we did. We found the hotel very clean throughout (I will admit that Marriott standards were a refreshing change after our previous nights in "three star" hotels) and the staff very helpful and kind. The location is OK but not ideal, there is a beach nearby (three blocks) but due to city ordinance, it is very quiet in the evenings. Fortunately, you can get a cab to take you to Aguimes (Casco Viejo), where things get a lot more interesting at night. Finally, a free shuttle takes you to LPA (Gran Canaria International Airport), which is very convenient. All in all, a great business-type hotel.

A happy family weekend at a city centre hotelPosted 06-Apr-2013
We spent the Easter weekend at the hotel, and although it is mostly a business hotel our family had a great time because of the service and because the hotel is so convenient for the beach, the restaurants and the shopping centre. We would definitely come again.

Central, but priceyPosted 03-Apr-2013
Extremely noisy if facing the road. Internet is expensive in the rooms (although free in the lobby). Given the price of the room compared to the average, wifi should really be free!

Great all round views from rooftop swimming pool!Posted 31-Mar-2013 on Hotels.com
Lift was fast and efficient. All rooms on the higher floors have excellent views. Our room was clean and comfortable, with balcony (although no chairs were provided or available for the balcony) The hotel is circular and efficiently designed. The breakfast was excellent, freshly squeezed orange juice in unlimited quantities along with everything you could wish for, especially if you are vegetarian. The prices vary a lot depending on who you book with.
