There continental breakfast was awesome, lots of choices with cooked cubed potatoes with peppers & onion, scrambled eggs, patty and link sausage, waffles, cereal, with more options to numerous to mention.

Easy to check in , plenty of parking. Comfortable beds. Microwave, refrigerator and Keureg-type coffee maker. Quiet even though the motel was full.

Lovely facility for a great price! The continental breakfast was delicious and kept filled and watched over by a dilligent attendant. It was the perfect place to stay while vacationing to see the Maryhill Museum, Maryhill Winery, and the Goldendale Observatory.

The breakfast is wonderful! Waffles, seasoned eggs and potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal and more. This is the best room and meal for the price.

The manager Michelle was very helpful in pointing out good dining and directions to downtown. She also puts out a marvelous breakfast buffet.

The rooms are spacious, many have kitchens. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are soft cotton. Each room is laid out differently so it’s always a surprise. Staff is very friendly and helpful. If there’s an issue, they take care of it promptly. It’s quiet and comfortable. One thing I would ask for in the future is that no Febreze or Glade air fresheners be used in my room because the artificial scents affect my sleep and cause coughing and sneezing. Next time I will put it outside the door right away instead of just trying to cope. It would be great if I could request a scent-free room ahead of time. I realize this is a specific request other patrons may not care about but it’s important to me. There are natural air fresheners that are effective and have fewer side effects. Only asking cause I like staying here and would love the accommodation. Thanks.

I felt almost everything was near perfect, the breakfast was better than average, cleanliness was far above average, I guess I felt it should have been slightly less expensive, but it was not enough to keep me from returning if I return to Goldendale again.

Ponderosa Motel is our go-to accommodations every time we visit Goldendale, which is about once a quarter to get a look at the seasonal night sky via the Goldendale Observatory. There isn't a major difference between the rooms & facilities at Ponderosa Motel & the Days Inn just up the road, but the breakfast at PM tips it over the edge whenever we have a choice between the two locations.

Best hotel or motel ever!!! Awesome room with memory foam mattress with legit blankets, microwave and two fridges. Also the breakfast was amazing and the staff were very friendly.

We stayed overnight in late-February for a destination 1-day trip from Seattle to Goldendale to visit the Observatory. The motel attendant was very friendly and accommodating. This is a classic Americana motel, down to the Googie neon blinking space-age tri-colored lights that grace the roof at the road-side entrance. The cost is quite affordable, the rooms are sufficiently appointed, the beds are very comfortable. The motel allows pets (for a surcharge) in designated rooms. Keep in mind that this is a budget motel. It's utilitarian and comfortable, not elegant and would benefit from better maintenance. Also, the free breakfast includes fresh fruit, buffet scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, Cream of Wheat, yogurt, make-your-own waffles, biscuits and gravy.

I lived here for two weeklong stays when my rental house had issues and first off its filthy. Mold overgrowing on bathroom windowsill, giant splotches of soap in bath, glue traps for bugs under bed that my cat got stuck on (not pet safe), and obviously vacuuming is spotty. The floors are old and dirty so they feel sticky / oily. The tv didnt work, one burner on the stove didnt work, and the shower never got above body temp. All this for $100 a night - not worth it! And as an added kicker we removed 3 feather pillows i was allergic to, placing them on the maids cart. The hotel billed us for them and didnt inform us - we called when we saw the charge and were told they would refund the $75. Its been a month and despite 5+ calls and an in person visit they still wont return our money. Every time its a different story. Today they offered to refund half but again I doubt they will. I feel so taken advantage of. Avoid this place if you can

Excellent choice for a hotel near The Dalles. Nothing fancy but clean rooms and an excellent excellent breakfast . The nice lady over the breakfast was so accommodating and so friendly. Wow, best motel breakfast ive had.
