Very pleased with this hotel and its location. Room was very large. City noises are loud, but we brought earplugs. Glad I booked it.

The property was very comfortable. Our room was spacious, quiet, and had a beautiful bathroom. The hotel is very close to the train station and we had dinner both nights within a block of the hotel. I would definitely return.

Outstanding comfort, style, location & staff
This was our 2nd stay @ HNN in three months. First time we chose it because of the location: a few minutes from train station, 2 minutes to the funicular that takes you up the mountain, 5 minutes to the waterfront, a short walk to the famous pedestrian walkway with all the palazzos & the old town. We came back because they do everything right. The rooms are stylish, the beds excellent, bedding very good, bathrooms are also stylish & showers are excellent.. The included breakfast has good variety and provided in a lovely room with a high frescoed ceiling. Especially want to compliment the staff. Everyone from the reception desk (who waited for our late arrival) to the lady in the breakfast room to cleaning staff are genuinely friendly, and offer great suggestions. All of this at a reasonable rate: a winner & absolutely our fave in Genoa! Grazie mille!

Our property was VERY spacious and comfortable. More than ample space for 3 or us! Clean, bright and truly a treat to stay at! We enjoyed the area and what Genoa had to offer. We enjoyed several of the local cafes in the morning and across the street dined at a wonderful eatery for supper. Steps away from the train station, our visit to Genoa couldn’t have been better (even Including the time we got lost in the less than desired areas) Thank you for a wonderful stay! 🇨🇦😊👍

Great tourism location, nice staff, good bed & WC
We chose this hotel because of location and the size of the room. Location was excellent: at most a 10 min walk from the train station. GREAT location for going up to the castle, down to the Maritime Museum, the Palace Museum and very near the beautiful pedestrian street with all the palaces. Loads of excellent restaurants everywhere in Genoa! We chose a suite (4th floor with elevator) but thinks we would have been happy with a room. The bathroom was very stylish, modern, excellent shower, beautifully appointed. The bed was comfortable with extra bedding in the closet so we could adjust to our preferences. Breakfast was in a lovely room with a ceiling fresco. The attendant was cheerful and prompt to keep everything looking tidy and options plentiful. No eggs - but so much else. The standard European hotel espresso machine which fresh grinds beans, steams milk for lovely cappuccinos, etc. We enjoyed fresh fruit, three kinds of sliced ham, two kinds of cheese, yogurt, muesli, croissants, toast, juices, etc.With the variety provided we changed it up every morning! Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue during our stay was very minor: a TV remote 's batteries were failing, sent an EM note & desk staff came up, replaced them immediately. The lobby does not impress: I'll take a good sleep, great location, nice breakfast over a grand lobby every time!

The good: Room was very large and clean. The elevator worked well which isn’t alway the case in Italy. Air conditioners worked well. Lots of nice windows. Good bed. Location near the train station was handy. Front desk staff were mostly helpful. The bad: Breakfast was scanty and seemed rationed. The person working there was not always friendly. They had intermittent issues with water pressure, usually at a bad time. They knew about it, per one of the cleaning staff. The front desk failed to disclose this to us at time of check in. It was noisy at night past midnight, (street noise and constant ambulances). The area was also a bit seedy as you moved down the street towards the water. Too much garbage and graffiti. Two of the area restaurants we visited did not provide good quality food which was surprising and disappointing. Overall: While not a bad hotel, now that I know the city a bit better, I would never again stay in the area where this hotel is located, and generally, there are much better places to stay in Italy.

Great, clean bargain near Principe train station
Great location near Genoa Principe station but easily walkable to waterfront, old town and museums. Also east to get to Rapallo, Nervi and other local areas. We had room 407 and the only complaint is that it backs to elevator and you can hear it running but luckily during our stay there didn’t seem to be very much nighttime traffic. Front office staff super responsive and helpful. Very close to restaurants though the higher rated restaurants are mostly a 10-20 min walk away. Overall great place and great bargain. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent room! Can't say enough how great the room was. Very conveniently located by the train station. We were catching a cruise and able to walk to our port. Some of the wider area when we walked the night before did not seem the cleanest or safest. But the hotel was quite secure, and the route to the places we came from and needed to go were. The only downside to the facility was the elevator was not always reliable and it was a lot of stairs.

Would be nice to have a microwave, plenty of room for one. Parking is quite a long way away and have to drag your cases through the streets, but you see lots of other people doing the same. Lots of restaurants literally on the doorstep and beautiful Basilica just down the road.

We had 2 one day stays there. It was a little weird with Reception. Because it is only 20 rooms, it shares Registration with the hotel 2 doors down. They were very nice. The rooms are a nice size & very clean. Breakfast has a decent variety, but no hot food. There are a number of restaurants close by & the train station is a mere 100 meters away. Good value.

We have been travelling all over Italy staying in wonderful hotels just like this and after reading the previous reviews we felt it would be another good choice. But, what a disappointment! The only good thing is the location. We dont understand all the positive reviews! Our room was small, old carpet, the room and bathroom smelled like mold and mildew. When we checked in, the woman at the desk was not helpful at all! The description on the website says “concierge service and we will help with tickets”. We asked for help with taking a cooking class and she couldn't be bothered with even looking on the computer. We have been on a 3 week road trip across Italy and this was by far our worst hotel and we couldn't get out of their fast enough!

Huge and Clean Room
Clean, very large room and comfortable. This hotel is a short walk from the train station, about 4 minutes. There are restaurants nearby as well as being walkable to everything.
