Perfect Location right in the centre of old town.
It’s a nice old hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing and all the local attractions. The local bars and restaurants are within walking distance. No frills hotel, immaculate rooms. No noise from the streets below. Highly recommend.

It was just okay tbh
Booked as it was close to Targ Wegovy Christmas market & it is - 2 mins away. However, definitely room for improvement. Curtains didnt close fully leaving about a 40/50cm gap - had to use a safety pin to close so I could ensure privacy and to shut out as much of the emerging daylight Not sure if because I had a lower level room which could have been over the kitchen esp on the sat evening to sun the room smelt of food. There is a pub/club near the hotel as on Fri & sat nights you could hear the edm. It was loud enough to hear but with my ohropax wax ear plugs I couldn't hear the music. Lastly, I travel ALOT & did not find the front desk staff friendly at all. Nearly all other hotels I've stayed at including your lower tier chain hotels, when you come and go the staff will greet you with "hi" or if you are leaving " enjoy your venture out", "have a good one", 'have a good trip" but here at Wolne Miasto - nothing. The friendliest person was the lady working sat night / Sunday morning as she was surprisingly chipper but even after checking out at 4am there still wasn't even an enquiry of " are you okay to find a taxi". If I was visiting for Christmas market, I would prob stay again with managed expectations, just for its proximity but other than that I prob would stay somewhere else. I'd rate this hotel 6.5 - 7/10 based on its location & proximity to Christmas market & food / drink establishments. PS I've been to multiple cities in Poland all with higher hospitality

Excellent staff throughout hotel. Rooms were neat & tidy. We had issue with no hot water on final night of a 7 day stay. We were moved to another room & hotel dealt with issue very quickly once they knew. Would certainly stay at fantastic hotel again...

The room was very comfortable. The bathroom had both bath and shower which I like. Beds were comfortable and the bedding nice and clean. Lots of storage. Only down side no tea making facilities in the room.

I liked the fact it is very central with in walking distance to sightseeing and bars and restaurants and rooms clean and spacious staff are pleasant only thing about this hotel is that it can be noisy late at night as lots of people leaving bars and there's a few nightclubs in the vicinity this didn't bother me as i have stayed here before but worth considering when booking

Nice property. Very ornate. Excellent service and also nice, large rooms with full bath. I would stay here again but I would not choose a room with a twin bed again. The twin bed was very awkward and constantly woke up while almost falling off.

I liked that it was central for sightseeing, lots of things are just a few minutes walk away. I didn't realise the noise outside would go on to 5 o'clock in the morning!

Great hotel and location
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very comfortable and clean. We had a double deluxe. They are doing some building work at the moment but we barely noticed really. The hotel is very convenient for exploring the old town and has lots of fantastic restaurants and bars close by.

Great location (about 2 mins walk into the old town main square), fantastic, friendly staff, comfy beds and a great buffet breakfast selection. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit Gdansk.

We had a great stay. The hotel is in a great location, equidistant between the train station and the main square of the old town. Our room was spacious and the bed was firm yet comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and the front desk service was excellent. Thank you, Weronika, for taking good care of us. We loved Gdańsk and we hope to stay at Wolne Miasto again in the near future.
