"Stayed 3 nights at the Hilton Galveston and left underwhelmed. Traveling with a crawling baby, cleanliness is non-negotiable for us and the floors were clearly not properly mopped. I ended up mopping the room myself, which is not what you expect at a Hilton-priced property.
The in-room phone didn’t work, so housekeeping requests had to go through a text number that went unanswered for hours. To make matters worse, housekeeping won’t clean your room or restock essentials unless you explicitly request it something we weren’t told upfront.
This was my first Hilton stay and, unfortunately, likely my last. I wouldn’t recommend this property, especially for families with young children."
