Due to a storm in the area there was no TV in the room and Wi-Fi was sporadic at best. Room and bed comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

Gairloch Hotel is in a beautiful location, the view from our window, in the morning sunshine, was beautiful. We also loved our 4 poster bed. All staff there are well trained, warm and friendly and we appreciated receptions excellent customer service. The dinner menu is standard scottish fare, well cooked, and served in large portions. The Gairloch burger was a big hit. We will stay here again

Staff were excellent. View from the room was fantastic and appreciated. Clearly a grand hotel in its glory years, now mostly used for elderly coach trips/package holidays it seems. However, the property is quite run down with vast sections of the walls peeling off, including above the bed and all over the headboard upon arrival. Inside of kettle was also black with spores. The light above the shower in the bathroom was also broken. Again, can’t fault the staff, clearly working hard to deliver a great service in an aging property. If investment was possible, it could be amazing all around.

Gairloch is a handsome town in a beautiful part of Scotland. My room in the Gairloch Hotel was spacious, comfortable and had lovely views out to sea. Breakfast was excellent. I will stay there again.

Nice view and fabulous location. It was previously as a shearing's hotel, it was good value for money on a self drive basis. However, it is pricier now, probably due to the NC500 increasing all the hotel prices in the area.

We booked this hotel due to it being dog friendly and situation in the West Highlands. The staff and food were brilliant and very friendly. However the room we were allocated was very small for a double and was very tired.

The hotel was in a lovely location with sea views from our bedroom. I had seen previous reviews which had stated the rooms were outdated and needed maintenance but this was not the case in our experience. The room was modern and spacious and the bathroom had both shower and bath. Food in the restaurant was fine for the price but salmon was slightly over cooked and partners veg was slightly under. Overall would recommend

Very enjoyable stay.
Very clean, comfortable hotel. Some rooms due a refurbishment but clean and comfortable nevertheless. Spectacular location. Surprisingly good food considering it's a coach party hotel (there were three coach parties in). Food and wine also excellent prices. Restaurant staff excellent. Very dog friendly. My pooch was a huge hit with guests and staff. Lovely big garden with fruit trees. Staff went out of their way to help find a lost room key.

Stayed one night whilst enjoying the NC500. The hotel is an older property in a great location, with amazing views. The friendly service at reception, in the bar and restaurant is appreciated. As stated, this is an older property and it is obvious that the owners have not invested much in the decor of the rooms and interiors. The rooms are adequate, but for the price paid most guests would hope for more. The rooms are old fashioned, basic, functional and clean but nothing more - no charm, no special touches etc. The same goes for the buffet breakfast - adequate but nothing more. If you are staying just one night whilst passing through, this place may suit. Just don’t expect too much.

Old fashioned quite expensive hotel - but totally worth it. Reminded me very much of the type of hotels I would stay in with my parents on holiday as a child. Large dining room which served dinner and breakfast - always pretty well attended. A lively bar, with a good range of whisky. There was live music on our first night too in the bar. The view from our window was amazing - looking right over the loch itself - you just cross the road and you can go down onto a small beach when the tide is out. I was able to bird watch from my window. I really loved this hotel it was so nice.

This is an older property… 150 years old…but well maintained… a bit dated but that only adds to the charm. Room was clean, bright and well maintained. Although bathroom was dated , it was not run down but clean and roomy. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend the dining room as it was the best meal we have yet to have on our trip!!I would definitely stay here again… with pleasure!
