Had a very comfortable time at Hotel Schopenhauer. The staff are multilingual and provide excellent service. The rooms are spacious with lots of natural light. There is also a balcony with the best views of the city especially at night. The breakfast buffet has a variety of options and the staff is very attentive at keeping everything clean and stocked. Most importantly, the hotel is right in the heart of Frankfurt making every landmark/attraction super close and walkable.

Too quiet for me, lacked atmosphere. The safe in the room was already locked so I had to get reception to open it, but I still had problems with so didn’t feel safe using it, which was a nuisance. The staff at reception were very helpful. The location is perfect, close to everything, saved me a lot of money on public transport as I could walk everywhere. I didn’t use the Wi-Fi as their security certificate had expired and wasn’t secure.

Property location for the Christmas markets was great. Breakfast was very basic but good. No tea and coffee/ fridge in the room and charged at 2.50€ each from the lobby self serve machine.

Fantastic stay
Stayed for 2 nights. Staff were very friendly. Hotel was warm and clean. Room was spacious, very comfortable beds. We travelled to attend the Christmas markets and it was an ideal area. We were walking distance to shops, trains, etc. Would Defintely stay again Only small thing was there was a smell in the room at times coming through the vents but it was Frankfurt in general as we were able to smell it at different times thought the city.

Great clean, affordable choice
Stayed while on vacation and seeing the New England Patriots play in Frankfurt. The hotel was in a good location, clean and the staff was friendly. Twice they couldn’t immediately find my reservation but then were able to. My only complaint is the lack of bathroom amenities. No conditioner in the shower was a bummer.

The property was excellent and had the charm of a smaller property - the location is excellent; very close to the Alt staadt and U Bahn station. We were a little disappointed with two items: 1) we booked the hotel in June and ask for a high room with a view and got a first floor accessible room with no view 2) we would expect a property of this caliber to have loner umbrellas.

It was the worst hotel staff and management I have ever seen. They charged me for double booking, however, I booked only one room. Heotels.com contacted hotel to fix their mistake, I emailed to manager but they don`t even reply to emails. Invoice they provided is in German. Never ever book this hotel again!!
