Nice breakfast and pool area.rooms were decent. Some of the drains/bathroom faucet features didn’t work very well other than that, it’s a decent place

This hotel was nice and clean however it was listed as a VIP with Expedia and they did not honor anything for VIP. We booked a queen bed and they tried to put us in a two single bed room. When I questioned the bed arrangements they said there were upgrades to queen bed but I had to pay for the upgrade which is not how the Expedia VIP status is supposed to work! So for the price we ended up paying. I was not satisfied

Great hotel!
This was a very nice hotel with convenient parking and close to Deutsche Bank Park. The restaurant and bar were great!

This hotel is close to the airport and walking distance from Deutsche Bank Stadium. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Very friendly staff.

The hotel was in a good location. Not far from the airport and not far from Frankfurt main train station. It had a small swimming pool and sauna which was great to relax in at the end of the day. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bonus and had a good choice.

One-Key Dissapoints; Hotel Makes Up
My first reservation experience with the new One Key merger was disappointing, but the staff at Essential Hotel lessened the disappointment. As VIP, One Key told me I would get a 20% discount at the hotel restaurant and room upgrade, if available. However, on check-in, the staff informed that One-Key had failed to communicate this to them. They could not honor the 20% promise, but even though not obligated, the hotel did grant us the room upgrade. ALL of the staff, from the front desk to the housekeepers, were top-notch! The room was very clean; the shower pressure fantastic and comfortable. The bed mattress was firm foam, which I was not used to, so I didn't sleep well, but it could be just me. The sauna and pool were perfect in condition, cleanliness, and temperature! The value for cost you will find hard to get anywhere else, and I travel a lot!! I would definitely stay here again without question. I would just hold One-Key to their guarantees!

Like On site parking at 19 Euro/night, good breakfast, close to airport and relative close to City by car. Dislike Rooms are bit outdated , bathroom requires renovation. No Air Con during hot summer.

We spent all of 25 minutes in the hotel. Ten of them were spent finding another hotel to move to. Ten of them were spent the two times we were waiting for our turn at the desk (to check in and to check out again). When we booked, the page said there as A/C. When we checked in, it was almost 90 degrees and NO A/C in the room. It was like an oven in there. When we called the front desk, they informed us only SOME rooms had A/C, and since we didn't "request" A/C when we booked, we couldn't get a room with A/C. Seriously? Yep. So we found another hotel to move to. The staff at the desk were completely unapologetic about the whole thing. We asked them to call us a taxi (which they apparently didn't do), so we asked a taxi driver who showed up for someone else leaving to call away for one for us. The taxi driver went inside to get his customers, and when he came out, he literally said, "There's something wrong with that guy at the desk." Needless to say, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone else.

As a Hotels.com VIP hotel you would expect better service. Booked was a room with double bed however, only a room with single beds was available. "free room upgrade if available" was included in this booking. Not really appropriate when you don't even get what you have booked.

Noisy full of kids some reason running around at breakfast and the VIP with Expedia means nothing to them at all no vouchers or upgrades at all. I payed another €120 for 4 days in another room just to get tea/coffee in room. Could not get anywhere near the pool any time day or night the hotel was like a crèche. I found the staff unhelpful and rather insipid. On the plus the breakfast was very nice and plenty of choice and hotel very clean. Expedia if I was you I would take this hotel off the VIP listings to save future disappointment. In a nutshell this was one of my worse stays in a hotel and I’ve been in many all over the world and I can’t with hand on heart recommend this place so it’s a big NO from me.

Quiet Hotel in Outskirts of Frankfurt
Very pleasant hotel in quiet suburb of Frankfurt. Our only complaint is that the pool and sauna is only available early morning and after 19:00hrs in evening. Why not in the afternoon?

The info about the opening time of the sauna and pool were not offered, even if requested b message. Mind you, the sauna is available only in the afternoon and evening, whereas the pool is open from 6am to 10pm! Don't forget to ask at the reception for the card for the Spa, I lost 10 minutes trying to get in until I figured out of its existence. I got there 21.25 and got in 21.35 and at 22 sharp, we were asked to exit the Spa, as it was closing. So, the receptionist have not mentioned we needed another card, even though we discussed the opening time :-( No slippers or spa robes offered either :-( considering the no. of stars, I expected those. But as a big plus there was a very, very good breakfast ( bit expensive) but worthy, as it was very rich in options and with a very good quality of the products. I was impressed. The staff were more friendly and servable. Parking 19 euro/night... a bit too expensive. Very good bed/ matrix and nice temperature in the room for a winter day.

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Quiet room, with air con. Easy location for train into Frankfurt. Only 2 issues - restaurant and bar closed on Sunday. Also, asked for room payment on check out, despite having paid through Expedia in advance. I have now sent evidence of this to the hotel, and expect to receive a refund.

Good Hotel, works best for people in transit.
The stay was comfortable rooms are spacious but I think the management should look into simple things like pillow choices, toiletries, and towels however the check in was smooth and all staff were friendly, also the property was walking distance to trian and bus services, airport cabs are also max 25€, overall a good experience thank you.

Hotel was fine but parking was a problem. I arrived, rang the bell but nobody answered and so the access to parking did not open. Thankfully someone drove out and opened it for me.
