“Goldman 25hours - wonderful”

If you like hotels with character, feel, and a unique take on the stay then this is for you. Each room in the hotel is designed by a different designer, and each of its 7 guest floors has its own colour theme also; lending a wonderful aesthetic to the stay. The beds were lovely and comfortable, and extra pillows available on request. Each room comes with an iHome dock for your iPod - and the facility to loan out an iPod touch if you don't have one. Even the front desk has an iPad to get your directions in a hurry. The only complaint was the room smelt a little of smoke from the previous occupant - but this quickly dissipated with the application of fresh air. Great location (15 minute tram ride from the city centre) with a great Italian Restaurant 5 minutes walk towards the city (Zio Pepe's - they speak Italian, German, and English), and a great bakery across the road (a little English is spoken but their cakes and breakfasts are wonderful!) The restaurant in the hotel is a little pricy, but the food is worth it if you can afford it.

“Original hotel”

Nice and friendly young staff, great gin & tonic at the bar! Forget about the "hotel experience" and "avantgard design". Ok, so it's a nice and jolly place to be, but what matters is that it's comfy and people are nice and helpful. Also, the trams stop right near the door step, which is convenient to move around. The Frankfurt Messe convention center is a bit far away, about a twenty euro cab ride. But you can pretty much move quickly to any part of the city, especially if you avoid the rush hours. I have been staying in different hotels in Frankfurt for the past 6 years. I think I will give this one another go next year.

“Unique, in a good way”

We arrived very late and reception was open and we had no problems checking in. Staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave our baggage to be collected later for our departure. Only down side was no air conditioning in our room and the temperature was 30 degrees! Overall the hotel made our stay very enjoyable.

“Nice hotel just wrong location for evening entertainment.”

1st trip to Frankfurt, but by no means the last. The hotel is in the Eastend of the town which is a tram ride from the front door into town. You can hear the trams running, but my wife and I thought it added charm, they were in no means intrusive in their noise levels, but we were on the 7th floor. There isn't much in the way of restaurants on the doorstep, and the one in the hotel was a little fancy and fishy for my tastes so I never ate there, there is a Kebab house and a Pizza take away on the doorstep though in case of emergencies. The room was on the small side but it was fresh and clean with aircon and a heated floor in the shower and by the sink. Our King size bed was two singles pushed together and two single quilts, which was ok as we never fought for covers. The walls were a little thin, and some noise could be heard from next door, singing in the shower was one to note, but it was only once in a while, not constant. The staff were brilliant, as was their english. The lack of uniforms brought a relaxed atmosphere. Every question or query was answered satisfactorily. Like the review intimates, I would gladly make this a frequent haunt, if it were in a different location with more things to do in the evening, reading tram maps in a foreign language after the beir has snuck up on you isn't all that easy, especially if there are diversions...

“Beware lack of air conditioning in some rooms”

One of those situations where I end up feeling sorry for the reception staff who have been horribly short changed by 25 hours hotel mgmt, who have (purposefully?) neglected to make it at all clear (on their and therefore other websites) that many of the rooms in this hotel do not have air conditioning. How they managed take a property and turn it into a hotel without full aircon is beyond me. The city regulalry sees temperatures of 30+C in summer and there are plenty of empty buildings in Frankfurt to choose from. So this was ueber frustrating on a warm early summer night when having to sleep with windows open means enduring the full traffic noise from the Hanau Landstrasse below. The experience then becomes doubly frustrating when I tell you that my room was very nice with some querky touches (old 1950's cinema seat etc# and the restaurant below served me a decent #if expensive# meal. All very frustrating. So to managemnet I say install air con througout hotel without delay, and in meantime if you do stay here go for an aircon room #M+) or stay in winter only !

“Let down”

The hotel has been thoughtfully designed however the rooms are shoeboxed sized and they have no air conditioning. The room was approx 35 degrees - this was with only midly warm weather outside (24). It was so stuffy and there was no breeze from the window that opened. The curtains were not blackout curtains as stated so the morning light was additional disturbance. The fan supplied in the room made no difference to the overall temperature. In short, i could not wait to leave. We endured two nights of no sleep... the Monday morning drilling & building works commenced very early on and we had been given no warning about this. What hotel doesn't politely inform its customers of the buildings works & possible disturbance? We appreciate they may not have any control over these things but this was insanely loud and going up through the walls of the hotel. Both mornings the staff never asked us if we had a nice sleep/stay and by checking out we were too tired to tell them then. The breakfast was nice. The place seemed empty generally with nobody dining in the restaurant which was also extremely hot. Such a shame, with air conditioning and staff who cared this could be lovely.
