Lots of issues with this hotel. First, my finance and I called in at 10am asking if we could have an early check in since our plane was arriving at noon. They that wouldn’t be an issue and texted my phone number at 11:34 saying the room was ready. That was a lie. We got to the property at 1:30 and was told our room was in fact not ready and wouldn’t be ready for 15 or minutes. 15 minutes go by and it’s another 30 which follow us not getting into our room until 3:30, 30 minutes past even the normal check in time of 3. They had us wait in the lobby for 2 hours when we could have just went to the beach or a restaurant had we known we would wait that long. Second, because the check in process was such a *process* the front desk lady told us she was upgrading our room to “something nicer and bigger”. Well that nicer and bigger room ended up being the same exact room we paid extra for already, no upgrades. Don’t expect upgrades if you’re waiting 2 hours past check in. Third, we were also offered drink tickets and a free app at a nearby restaurant because of said wait, well the free drinks aren’t accepted at the rooftop bar. The room itself was nice, clean bathroom and comfortable bed. The pool was nice and heated but the jacuzzi was broken the entire stay and after talking to staff, it seems it’s always broken even though “engineers” are called to fix it everyday(really?). Overall I would avoid here. Only a small amount of the bad and I couldn’t even get into the food poisoning.
