Staff was great. The fees for the hotel and parking fees are $100 a day! Crazy! That is a ripp off .

We wanted to relax after our cruise for a few days on the beach. This was relaxing. It was a great location. Price was reasonable. Our room had an amazing view. The carpet was worn and pulling away at the doorways in rooms. There was still some crumbs and debris on the floor in our room but otherwise in clean condition. Bed was comfortable. Complimentary coffee was okay but being free I didn't expect it to be great. The fitness center was adequate my spouse and I are both into working out and it was okay with some adjustments to our usual routines. There was a restaurant available that we didn't eat at but we did get free mimosas at the bar and they were good. All in all I would recommend this as a good place to stay for the value. The TV was a challenge as the first night it didn't allow what was on the channels but the staff fixed it. No movies available just TV so if you want that bring your own device to watch.

Beautiful views. We didn't like the Hotel staff making us pay again on the arrival. The next day we solved the situation with the manager but the action was uncomfortable for us.

We asked ahead of time for a room with a view and we got one of the corner rooms with a double picture windows so it was a beautiful view. The room was clean. The bathrooms are fairly small and it does seem to be an older property but well kept.. We did not eat in the restaurant but it did look good.. The staff was very friendly especially Evelyn at the front desk. It was nice to have a designated section at the beach and towels and beach chairs were provided free of charge.

Very helpful front desk staff. Clean rooms. Our room was by the stairs and the electrical room. There was a very loud humming noise but we were too tired to move. We have a very rude and unhappy waitress in the dining room for breakfast and tried not to let it spoil the rest of our stay but it did set our day off on a bad start. Overall the hotel was nice. 👍 We would definitely stay there again and refer them to family and friends.

Fantastic interaction with the front desk team, especially Arsay, who went above and beyond to help as our guaranteed room was strangely unavailable. Arsay stepped up, got us into a comparable room realizing it was the Hotel's fault for our room not being ready by the agreed upon 4p time (disconcening fyi, so I hope you fix that process of getting your new customers into their room and not double booking an extended reservation so you can make more money). Only Arsay helped saved the day.

This was a great stay for us! The Sonesta is clean and beautiful, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We liked the quiet area, with a three minute walk to the water taxi, electric bike rental on property and the stunning Bonnet House museum and gardens right next door! There is a state park on the other side and the beach across the street. There are stores and great restaurants within walking distance.

Overall check in was super easy. Hotel is literally across from the beach which is convenient. They do give 2 free daily chairs with the resort fee. Was annoying umbrella was extra but not unreasonably priced.

We loved staying at this hotel and the front desk staff was incredible - they were so friendly and caring to our dog, Gus and always gave him treats when they saw him. The two young ladies (one who was always wearing colorful and amazing jackets) was so great. We really enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to come back!

Many restaurants around Hotel within a few minutes walk. Shenoya Thomas assistant manager front office is super friendly, helpful, and provides great customer service. It was a pleasure to meet her. Nathan was very helpful to set up my TV. I recommend a shower curtain for the shower to prevent water splashing out

Resort is pretty and clean, rooms are lovely, and pool is small but very clean and towels are plentiful. Overall the resort is relatively affordable so the catch is the location being in an undesirable area that may feel Unsafe to some . No cafe, and hotel restaurant food was 2 stars at best, but pricey, so dining options are very limited during the day if you don’t want to leave the beach area. Umbrellas 30$ a day and only 2 chairs per room even if you are a family of 4. No beach service but wet Willie’s across the street will let you take slushies to go. If you arrive earlier than 4pm you have to pay 100$ to check in or wait until 4. We arrived at 10am and found it to be worth it but something to be aware of. Overall a comfortable stay, but would stay else where due to unavailability of dining options.

It has great potential to be top notch as the room was new and in good shape. Staff was courteous but we were not too satisfy with cleanliness. We requested on two occasions to just clean the bathroom and the tile area (as well as fill up the shower gel container) as the footprints from sand or dust were visible after coming back from the beach. Both times the room was fixed and dusted superficially, but we noticed that that sink or shower area or tile floors had not been cleaned; nor was the shower gel replenished. We also requested one extra pillow but strangely enough they did not have one. But I believe this is easily fixable and our overall stay was enjoyable and relaxing.
