Good stop over.
Very good stop over, a nice bit of luxury on a long road trip. Only slight criticism is the paper cups in the room. Restaurant for dinner & breakfast was excellent.

My stay wasn’t great. The rate that I picked on Hotels.com wasn’t honored at check out. When I asked the staff about it they were very rude. My room was dirty, there even was a pair of dirty underwear under my bed! Additionally the food in the restaurant was not very good.

Very pleasant stay!
Stayed here as it's close to the office. I was very happy with this decision. The room was large and nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable, it had a huge bathroom (shower and large soaking tub!) and a large balcony. A quick taxi or bus ride brings you to the city center where there is lots of shopping and great restaurants. If you want to stay at the hotel, they have a fine dining restaurant, workout room and indoor pool. Additionally there are nice walking areas, or rent a bike for a longer tour of the city.

Spacious Luxury Rooms
Fantastic modern property with spacious luxury rooms and plenty of free parking. On top of that the food is great as it is in most Van Der Valk hotels.

Really good, but not perfect!
Hotel was beautiful and well designed but not perfect. No mini-bar or room service available after 11 (we'd arrived late) and had to wait for 30 minutes for an iron to be brought up to my room. Irons should be in bedrooms!

The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet and super clean. The bathroom was very large as well, great bathtub!. Restaurant was also excellent. Staff was very friendly. This was a really lovely stay

Everything was very clean, staff was very attentive, breakfast buffet was amazing and had a large selection. Parking lot was huge so no lack of space. Outside terrace was awesome. It’s a 20 minute slow walk to city center where there are a ton of shops, restaurants and a casino

Lovely hotel very spacousin & spotlessly clean
Although our stay was only one night everything about this hotel was excellent from the lovely spacious room (with a power shower) to the helpful & polite staff to the wonderful buffet breakfast (though this is extra charge) & our own little balcony. Everything was great and pity it was so short a.stay.

You will love this place!
This is such an amazing hotel! The room was deluxe, much larger than any other room we stayed at during our European vacation. The hotel had wonderful amenities. The pool and sauna were fantastic! The restaurant served up the most delicious meals! The staff were friendly and very helpful! Our room had both a rainfall shower and a soaking tub. The place was spotless! This is just a small detail, but the coffee maker was outstanding—-I want my own! Staying at the Van der Valk Hotel made my stay in Enschede that much more special!

Great hotel with the right amenities
Great stay and great service. Reception was very responsive to all requests. They have a good Sunday Brunch which I learned about. This is my new favorite place in the area. Fitness center was a big plus.

I booked this hotel for a business trip to Enschede using expedia. I opted out for a flexible rate to manage possible changes. Unfortunately my arrival was delayed due to flight re-schedules and I promptly informed the hotel that I was not able to stay the first night. The request was acknowledged by the receptionist over the phone. When I arrived at the hotel the day after, the staff member at check-in informed me that the first night was charged as no show. No hotel manager was on duty during my three-day stay to handle this issue and offer a solution. I managed to talk over the phone with an interim manager the day after my departure that explained that the hotel complied to their contractual obligations and no compensations were possible. A completely negative customer experience.

Fantastic hotel!
Lovely hotel! Rooms are big and spacious, with similar bathrooms, and very clean. Great views from the upper floors, and swimming pool/gym on the top floor. Breakfast and evening meals were very enjoyable - the food was prepared to a very high standard.
