This is my second time in a week here - It's perfect for me and my dog - there's a lovely grass area for walking - the beds are comfortable - the man at the front desk is very kind, I feel comfortable. thank you.

I will choose another hotel if I stay in Elkhart again. The rooms were clean, but run down. Bathroom floor tiles were loose and most of the grout was missing. The breakfast options were poor and not fresh. A housekeeping employee walked right into my room without warning. Most disturbing to me was hearing 2 employees at the front desk loudly trashing another coworker during the breakfast time when all the guests there could hear. It didn't leave me with a good feeling about how things are run there.

I came from a motel around the corner I cancelled because I literally felt unsafe there. This La Quinta is like a luxury suite in comparison. It is comfortable, clean, and feels safe. It's dog friendly, and there's lots of lawn to walk my dog. The bed is so comfortable, the pillows are great, I am just so glad to be here. Thank you.

Not happy at all with our hotel stay.... When we first got there no one was at the front desk to check me in and I could overhear the staff talking about customers until I had to get their attention. We received a hotel room that reeked like cigarettes (although theres no smoking allowed) so we had to go back down and get a new room. Although the pool was one of the main reasons we checked in early, we were told there was maintenance and we would not be able to swim until 7 or 8pm. When we got in our room it wasn't very clean the bathroom flooring was messed up where the flooring was like breaking off and it was like a rock/gravel material that hurt my 1 year old daughter's feet. The pool wasn't even open until close to 9pm and when we got in it, we realized how dirty it was where it even seemed like there was mold. The toilet in our room wasn't working properly and would not go down so I had to go and ask for a plunger and no one apologized or offered to help. Definitely not returning here ever again, maybe to any La Quinta hotel.

We had a one night stay. First the good. The night manager was friendly and check-in was easy. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Now the bad. The smoke alarm in our room was missing, it's wires hanging out of the ceiling. The tub was plastic with no grip pads on the bottom, so when soap got on it, it was very slippery. The room wasn't stocked well. One cup with the coffee service. Only one hand towel, one washcloth and two bath towels. We had three people so that was a problem. The "store" area in the lobby was nearly empty except for a few drinks and a few snacks. At that time of night, we didn't feel like going back out for what we wanted. Suggestions - keep the store stocked, keep the rooms stocked with supplies and towels, put some grip pads in the tubs and make sure all rooms have smoke detectors.

Stayed for a short night before checking in to our team hotel the next day. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the location right off the highway was convenient. Breakfast in the morning was standard breakfast fare, my kiddo loved the waffle. All in all a good stay.

Not the worst but definitely not the best
We reserved a handicapped room due to my wifes limited mobility. The first negative was is was right next to the pool so after checking in we couldn't relax with all of the noise coming through the wall from the pool area. Then when my wife went to take a shower she almost feel due to the fact that the accessible showers floor wasn't non slip and felt like it was coated in some sort of slime. Then when she went to get out of the shower the whole bathroom floor was flooded from improper drainage in the bathroom. Our room was right across from the breakfast area so we were woke up at 6 to the sound of microwaves and buzzers going off. The breakfast selection left a lot to be desired. We went to eat an hour before they were done serving only to not have any food and to have to ask for food to be made. The "scrambled" eggs were just cut up microwaved egg patties. They had no regular coffee. The bed in the room was comfortable. They did have plenty of seating in the dining area. The staff was polite. We will definitely be checking out some of the other hotels in the area for our next trip.

This property isn't the Ritz but the staff were amazing and incredibly helpful when we had a need. I've been to much more expensive hotels and gotten minimal customer service. This location wins for working hard for their customers

Needs some tlc
The cleanliness level was subpar at best, but the friendliness level was top-notch. I would stay here again just for the experience. The woman who worked the evening I checked in was very personable and accommodating. She made the check-in process very quick and simple. The staff around other than the front desk clerk were not so approachable. They seemed like they were just there for a paycheck.The rooms are organized but could use some attention to detail. There were a lot of dirty spots all around the room and bathroom. The options were slim if you didn't make it to breakfast early. Options ran out quickly, nothing seemd fresh, and the eggs were premade and reheated in the microwave. I did enjoy the seating area though, it had a nice atmosphere and the person in charge of keeping it clean made sure to sanitize every table after every use. My kids enjoyed the pool, they said it was heated and nice to swim in, no complaints of burning eyes from chlorine. I wouldnt step foot in that pool though, the dirt ring around the edges was too much for me. I visited during a weekend and it seemed like there were a good amount of people visiting the pool, but we never had an issue getting enough personal time. We stayed on the second floor in a room with two queen beds and had no major issues. The beds seemed a little small but they were very comfortable. The rooms had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

I have always had great experiences in La Quintas all over and this was no exception. We checked in later in the evening and the person at the desk was a delight! Our room was clean and comfortable and we're intending on staying again when we come up over Memorial Day weekend.

The heater in the room would only work for about 5 minutes then it would blow cold air. The staff wanted me to get up through the night and turn the heater on and off manually as needed through the night.
