It is situated perfectly with great independent eateries and bars within a short walk. "Location was different to what's on the map (it's right next door to the New County Hotel). The apartment was lovely though, looks like it's been recently refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. £250 damage deposit seemed quite excessive. Not sure if they get a lot of trouble as housekeeping also came in during stay but didn't do any cleaning, make beds, or fold towels etc (I only knew they'd been because they folded...

"The main road is noisy until the traffic dies down later on in the evening. The metal framed windows, even when shut, let through a high volume of road traffic noise. It was a period of unusually high temperatures by day and night when we stayed and the room we stayed in was in the loft space and therefore really warm and so the windows had to be kept open most of the time. This is by no means a complaint merely a note for other people who stay in the loft apartment who may not be as comfortable...

"Was informed 3 days before stay that we would be staying in a different house to listing, which for us was ok. Clean bedding, comfortable beds. However the house although wasn't filthy it wasn't clean. The whole place looked like a family had just "popped out". Clothes hanging on doors, shoes left where they had just taken them off, generally a untidy house."

"I didn’t exactly know what I was letting myself in for when I booked into The Shepherd’s Lodge but it was actually a pleasant experience and it provided exactly what I was looking for i.e. a comfortable place to lay my head at night and have a cup of tea and few quiet hours after a long day at a Folk Music Festival. The only problems I encountered were due to the weather and therefore beyond anyone’s control. "

"Modern 2 bedroom apartment very close to the town centre. Very clean and quiet with all mod cons. TV has free Netflix included, however the couch was too small to lie down on comfortably. Only other negative was a noisy manhole cover in the street which vibrated every time a car drove over it ( not the fault of the apartment obviously). "

"Amazing stay! The hotel is fantastic in the countryside with a great walk around with great views. The room was modern and decorated beautifully to match the building architecture. The pub has a great vibe and the restaurant food was delicious (just note no dogs in the main restaurant) and service is great. Our room was quite warm which meant not getting 100% and as it’s a pub it can be noisy in the evenings/night. "
