Very poor condition, we changed the room because of broken shower, cigarettes were all over the terrace, the furnitures are full of stains, the food section is full of dirt (chairs and tables) that’s not even close to be a hotel that asking for 500$ per night.
It’s the 7th time we’ve visited this hotel and the last one.

I would never choose to stay anywhere else in Eilat. If you ever close your eyes and dream of the perfect vacation a d the perfect hotel, then Herods Palace is that place! Hard to imagine something better. Eilat plus Herods equal perfect vacation. Almost anything i could say would not be enough or do it justice so I hope the 2 key words - perfect vacation- would convince anyone to give it a try!

Service was so bad that is not even possible to grade.
The condition of the hotel is very old.
If I just took a look in online reviews on this hotel I would never go there.
This was probably the worst stay I ever had in Israel in my whole life.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD ! !
We arrived to the hotel at 10:00 am we been told that the room will be ready at 1 pm at 3:30 pm after we waited in the lobby for too long we had the chance to Speke with the Hotel manger she was super rude disrespectful and unprofessional she gave us some BS story abut to Delay and she offered us to take the money and leave if we are not happy .
I was sure she’s joking but she was serious so we took the money and we went out to find another hotel at 4:30 pm A few hours before Shabbat ,
We wasn’t the only couple that go through the same process shame of you Herods

A great place, it just wasn’t clean as I expected!
The breakfast was good, but at Saturday it wasn’t like other days because the Jewish praying (I don’t know how it called exactly)

The room was not clean at all, the refrigerator was broken the safety-deposit box didn't work, the toilet tank is working all the time. When we came to the room in the last day at 10:25 after Breakfast the room was clean and the room attendant throw all our food from the refrigerator and our Baby staff like diapers and more staff.

Stuff were really helpful and nice and always had a smile and will to help. Breakfast was amazing.
Rooms are a bit outdated and really need some upgrading and upkeeping - the bath and shower drapes had stains and the carpet was very old, besides that the location is great, the service is wondaful, the food is amazing and the room size sensible.

very poor customer service check-in was too late and service is slow doesn't even answer on the customer service desk phone and they also charge a fee on ice !!!

Nice looking but rooms are SO noisy
The hotel is grand looking from the outside. However, we had to change rooms 3 times because the rooms are SO loud and not soundproofed where there are connecting doors. We were moved to a room with a connecting door where they guaranteed us no one was staying on the other side and of course, someone was staying there and we could hear their entire conversation from 2-4 a.m. down to when they got a text message on their phone. We complained several times and they did eventually move us to a quiet room on the last day. At that point it was our 4th room and we were exhausted- I wouldn’t come back to this hotel again. They need to invest in soundproofing the rooms. You shouldn’t be able to hear every noise coming from the room next door. Pro: Breakfast buffet was really nice.

Horrible value for the money at crumbling facility
Herod's has seen better days. The common spaces were luxurious, i.e., the pool and beach. But the inside of the room was wanting. For example, the paint was peeling on the bottom of the bathroom door and the fixtures were old (there was also no outlet in the bathroom). For the money we paid, it wasn't a good value. They charged an extra $100/day for our son to join us in the room, to cover breakfast and use of the facilities. Wouldn't go back at that price.

Loved our stay. We had a sweet room with an sea view. The room was great. Shower could use a little updating but that’s being picky. Unbelievable breakfast buff. Wish I could stay all day.

Pleasantly surprised by lobby area which was large and luxurious. Quite old fashioned decor but it is fashioned on Herod so... Room was quite small with tiny balcony. adequate hotel, wouldn't rush back

Outdated hotel. Unhelpful staff, but could be cultural. We are from the US and most people staying here are not. Breakfast ok, but eggs always burned. Pool is nice. Gym is ok. Overall overpriced and would not return to this property.
