We loved our cabins (traveling with another couple). The whole set up is attractive and comfortable and we wanted to stay for longer than the two nights we were there. The staff were lovely and helpful.

We loved our little cabin at Stora Sandfell! The cabins are nextled amongst fir trees, so felt very private. The kitchenette had everything we needed. The bathroom was larger than expected. This was an excellent location for us as it was located within a 2 hour radius of several sites we wanted to see. The cabin even had a little porch. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

Great stay
The cottages were great. Very quiet as your in your own little space. Stayed in six different places in Iceland and it was definitely the most peaceful. Only stayed one night, wish we had stayed another. Cute front porch to relax on. Shower reminded me of a cruise ship, tight but did the job. A couple bugs and spiders but kinda expected out in country, not scary or dangerous, little bitty guys. Dining table inside made for good luggage rack. The host was super sweet, friendly woman. Highly recommend staying here, we enjoyed our short visit.

It’s a lovely wood chalet house in the nature. Sleeping in the farm, river is flowing next to you and seeing the waterfalls and beautiful horses. Chalet has a decently equipped kitchen for daily needs. Owner and team are very friendly and helpful. Strongly recommended to stay.

Nice and peaceful. Very relaxing. While it said there was no front desk, we were greeted upon our arrival. And bring something to grill as they have gas grills to cook out.

Cabin was great! Cozy, very clean, very quiet, and we’ll see up. Walking areas abound. Picked 2 liters of wild blueberries during a walk. Exquisite!!

Cute little bungalows with everything you’d need for the night out on the countryside: comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, kitchenette and outside grill. We’d come back!

Very nice newer cabin in fairly remote location
We stayed in cottage 5. It’s newer and very nice with a nice bathroom. It has a loft, bedroom, and studio living room with kitchenette. The beds were comfortable. The place was super clean. It’s a nice little camping type cabin with surprisingly updated modern kitchen and bath. I’d stay again. Be sure to ask for cabin 5 or one with a bathroom. Some cabins are older and share a public bathroom.

Cute cottage in the middle of nowhere
Awesome stay. Beautiful small cottage with BBQ. Horse ride available. Thanks to the family for this great time and to Johanna for this amazing horse ride. My gf was super happy.

This was a really nice, quaint cabin just outside of the city. The staff was very friendly and accesible but mostly you are going to get a very quiet, private feel with your cabin which we loved. The place comes stocked with basically everything you need including a BBQ which no other place had that we stayed in. I would definitely recommend staying here!

A nice gem. Very friendly staff and have nice touches like new beautiful cottages along with a grill outside. Beautiful landscaping and there are horses too.

I stayed at the cottage with private bath room, kitchen was shared with others, it was very small but ok for one person. The room and kitchen were super clean. The dinning table was fantastic. We didn’t have a chance to use the BBQ.

We had a great stay at the nice and cosy cottage for two nights. Friendly host, nice and quiet place. Short drive to nearest town Egilsstaðir. We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this nice place.

Die kleinen Cottages sind größer als gedacht. Sie liegen oberhalb der Straße, sehr ruhig. Parkplatz direkt vorm Haus. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der Empfang war nett, jedoch war das auch schon alles. Uns wurde an der Haustür von der Besitzerin die Funktion der Tür fürs Häuschen erklärt und gesagt: wenn ihr geht, lasst den Schlüssel einfach drin hängen. Im Cottage an der Spüle hängt ein Schild, dass jeder Benutzer sein Geschirr waschen soll. Man ist also auf die Sauberkeit des vorherigen Mieters angewiesen. Hat bei uns nicht funktioniert, wird wohl auch nicht kontrolliert. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort, fanden es war ok.

Sehr schöne und ruhige Umgebung und zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten gut gelegen. Die Hütte hat alles was man braucht und die Besitzer sind offen und freundlich.

Joli chalet à la campagne
Nous avons passé 2 nuits au chalet. Trois adultes. Facile à trouver et nous avons ete reçus aimablement par la propriétaire. Chalet propre, confortable et disposant de tout le necessaire. Un peu juste pour 3 personnes adultes mais ça n'enlève rien à la qualité du sejour. Le cadre est magnifique. Egilsdatir est à moins de 15 minutes en voiture (supermarché, station service...). On a pu visiter pas mal de choses autour.

Stugan vi fick var utkyld, boendet hade inte förberett våran ankomst med att få upp värmen i stugan. Mycket dåligt då vi även ringde innan och meddelade när vi skulle komma.
