Nice studio!
Wonderful studio with kitchenette. It looked like it had been renovated recently as all the furniture, furnishings, floors and wall paint looked new and in good shape. A pod coffee maker too! Easy to check in and out. Very close to downtown Egilsstadir.

This is a very nice place given the limited lodging options when traveling in the remote parts of Iceland. We tried to be at the property when the staff ( singular) was available during the check in time. I suggest the check in instructions could be improved to avoid any language barriers. 1. For example, guests can be told the number of parking spaces in front of each building so that they can keep a safe distance when parking their vehicles. The parking spaces are not marked and it took a bit of a struggle to get that message across. I donā€™t have any hard feelings about it, but trying be helpful to the property owners and the guests. 2. There was no reception desk and guests were supposed to ring a bell on an inside wall to get the assistance. This could have been communicated as part of the check in instructions. When we reached at the property we didnā€™t know what to do, but eventually figured it out. Anyways I have given the property 5 stars because it deserves it.

The owner came out and greeted us personally, and was extremely informative and accommodating. (I think we just happened to catch him doing some yardwork.) The room was very clean and well stocked with dishes, and toiletries. Could not have been more pleased, especially with having a nice patio outback with lots of shade! Would love to have stayed here more than one night

The property is quite nice once we found it. Expedia google map directions sent us to the wrong town and we needed help from a townsperson to find it otherwise we never would have found it. The host was very gracious and helpful once we got there.

Pretty rooms. Tiny kitchenette. No contact info available. We arrived later than anticipated at 10 pm to a sticky note connecting us to the hostess. She was on site and awake. She berated us for quite a while despite our trying to apologize and explain. She was further aggravated that our credit card hadn't worked despite us promptly giving her a different one. After she finished telling us how angry she was the room was fine. Very clean and pretty. Nice bedding. I would suggest different night table. They were fi ished wood pieces that bad uneven tops with holes so it was hard to trust their stability. Lovely bakery across the street. If you have a reliable schedule you won't mind staying here. But i felt like a humiliated child and don't recommend it

The room was an ok value for the money and it was pleasant. It had a nice big window. The bed was comfortable, but the kitchen was very cramped. The room had a door to a nice outdoor area, but It was very hard to figure out how to lock the door to the outside. The instructions failed to mention you had to pull up hard on the whole door to get it to lock. The communication on how to find the facility and how to find the owners was very poor and did not come in advance. When I went looking for someone on the property to help me the owner was rather rude to me.

Owner is wonderful. Extremely helpful. Rooms are minimalistic in their design sense (I mean this as a compliment) but also have everything you need, especially in the kitchen. Nice patio off the room. Easy parking. Wonderful bakery right across the street. One tip: curtains are not blackout, so bring your eye mask if traveling in summer.

This was the best guesthouse we have stayed in so far during our Iceland road trip around the Ring Road. So cute, clean, and perfectly Icelandic. Weā€™ve stayed in some very rustic places but this one had everything and wasnā€™t teeny tiny. The manager was very prompt and kind, even though we booked it about 20 minutes before showing up.

The studios are absolutely wonderful. The room is comfortable and spacious with a well equipped kitchenette. Even the bathroom is beautiful. It is the nicest place we have stayed in in Iceland by far. Highly recommended.

Room was spacious even has a terrace, rain shower head was great, hair dryer was the big one not those mini travel size ones which take forever to dry your hair. Has a small kitchen for simple cooking and a mini fridge. TV has good English channels. Lady owner was very nice. A very pleasant stay.

Check-in info not clear. The phone number listed wasn't working. Apparently you just need to get to the property before 8 PM (I think), ring the bell inside the building, then someone will be there to give you the key. Stayed in a family room. The interior lighting was too dark. The kitchen appliance was some half-century old Whirlpool combined sink, stove, and fridge. Similar situation in the bathroom and overall interior with old linoleum floor. Kitchen was not clean if not outright dirty. To be fair, the bed and its sheets were clean, and everything was functional for a night's stay. But it was much worse than my expectation set by the high review it's got. And my standard isn't too high; places around Ring Road and around the Reykjavik in late August, one room for 4 persons, with a budget of $ 300 +/- 50 were much better than this, cleaner and more modern interior and features. I would've avoided this place and this area in general for its lack of affordable but good places to stay, if I could.

Great Little Gem
This little gem is a great find, clean, modern, nicely equipped little kitchen and in a great location, with a bakery across the street & bookstore cafe around the corner (sadly & strangely neither open on Sundays), a great host who gave excellent suggestions for local restaurants, and close to town and multiple fantastic nature & hot springs excursions .. a perfect base.

Surprise Delight of our trip!
This was the surprise stay of our trip, which included a mixture of glitzy FosshĆ³tels and budget guesthouses. We LOVED this place. Clean and cozy, it packed a lot into a small footprint. Efficiently decorated and furnished, it felt spacious despite the small size (which was significantly larger than our hotel rooms on this trip). The city offered lots of tasty dining opportunities (Askur Pizzeria and brew house was amazing, and there was great bakery literally right across the street from the lodging). The phone number listed never worked for us, but the proprietor was super responsive via Hotels.com messaging, and the main registration is open 4-8pm (look for the doorbell buzzer just after you enter on the right).

We were there for just a quick night but the studio was perfect. Great communication and an easy to find location. Check in was simple as they have a bell for you to ring. The efficient room had everything we needed. There's even a gas station at the corner, such service. ;-)
