The staff is extremely helpful & nice. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The view was amazing. The breakfast was really good and dinner was fabulous.

Very thankful that I stayed two nights at this location while on a recent trip around Iceland. The staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming, the food was exceptional especially the breakfasts, and the view of the river was breathtaking. By far my favorite hotel of this trip.

Nice property next to the lake. Our room was facing the lake and the view was really good! Staff were friendly and the place had a homely vibe to it. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, with lots of freshly baked bread and pastries, and omelettes made to order.

A lovely resort like hotel! Staff very helpful including transferring bags with golf cart. Room with glass windows overlooking fjord sensational. We also saw the northern lights here. Clear night over the fjord. Just wonderful. Dinner was nice but wine stupidly expensive. But fantastic to have breakfast included! Would come back.

We wish we would have had more time in this particular area. We are in Iceland for 3 1/2 weeks and got to Hotel 1001 Nott a bit late and only had one night. The staff is VERY friendly and probably our favorite of all our stays. The attached restaurant run by the same people was so convenient, quiet and the cod was terrific. It is such a serene and cozy place. The only thing which would have made it even better was a little light jazz in the reception/restaurant area but certainly not mandatory. The lake view room had a great view and while we did't have time for the hot tubs, they looked incredible and perfectly situated with a great view. When we come back, this will be a place we book again and stay for an extra couple of nights.

Customer service was fantastic. The restaurant was great. The food was amazing. The location and views were incredible. The only complaint is the room was hot and the bed was on the hard side. Everything else is highly recommended.

The property and location were both stunning. Absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway or stay away from the busy-ness of larger towns like EgilsstaĆ°ir. The staff was polite and extremely helpful. Other reviewers have noted difficulty moving luggage to their room - however, the hotel has a golf cart available to help with this and they are happy to lend it to you at any time (perhaps others were simply unaware of this convenience). We were delighted by the large size of the bedroom and washroom - both extremely spacious and immaculately clean! All rooms have lots of natural light as one wall is all glass and opens onto a private patio space. There was easy access to hot tubs for all guests - it was pouring rain and 126 km/h winds when we stayed, so we did not use them. We hope to return to Iceland soon though and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

The property and rooms were lovely and modern. The staff was polite, but morning restaurant service starts late and there is no in room coffee or tea options. Parking is fine, but the gravel lot and walkways make rolling a suitcase impossible. The shower design is absurd, the wall is too short and water goes everywhere. Additionally the adjustable nozzle didnā€™t hold, so it was always dropping down to shoulder height.

Absolutely fabulous hotel - so wish weā€™d planned to stay longer! The setting is stunning, rooms are stylish and spacious. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant - again, a wonderful setting. The hotel feels fresh and new, has been incorporated into the countryside sympathetically and landscaped to look natural but well looked after. We also stepped out of our room late last night and saw the Northern Lights āœØ Canā€™t recommend this hotel highly enough! Best place we have stayed in Iceland.

The location, by the lake, was excellent. Not far from the amenties of Eggilstaoir. The property seems to have been recently constructed and it was handsdown the best bed we've slept on during our Iceland sojourn. Such a calm and peaceful setting. The free breakfast was nice as well and parking was ample.

This place was absolutely lovely. We loved everything about it. Very friendly staff. The atmosphere perfect. The room was perfect. The hot springs tub was a forgotten feature so we were so happy to see them. Book here!!!

Place was very clean and breakfast was amazing. Had so much homemade gourmet and food from the bread to the blueberry jam. The kind lady and gentleman helping in the kitchen/front desk, likely the owners of this hotel, were both very sweet and made you feel like you were at home.

This was by far my favourite place we stayed! The property is beautiful and clean, but the staff take it up a notch!! They are unbelievably hospitable, so kind and attentive! You can feel their passion in all that they do!! Honestly would go back!! Highly recommend this property!!

Stunning views from our lake view room - super modern and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hot tubs with the view were insane. Do not think we would have enjoyed as much if we didnā€™t have the lake view. Restaurant was good but nothing special with quite a small menu.

The staff here was extremely pleasant, easily the nicest people weā€™ve met in Iceland. The dinner and breakfasts were delicious and well worth the money spent. I would not stay anywhere else in the Egilstaddir area.

This was the cleanest place we stayed in Iceland. The owners are very nice and put a lot of effort and care into this hotel. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. We saw the northern lights there. Also, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was wonderful! We loved the lamb, salmon and coffee ice cream dessert! The free breakfast was delicious, too! It had eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, jams, skyr, etc. If I ever get to go back, Iā€™ll definitely stay here a few nights!!!

Great stay but minor niggles
We loved our stay but thought a couple of things could be improved upon. There was no tea and coffee facilities in the room and after a long day this would have been good. You donā€™t always want to go sit in the hotel lounge. The other thing was that the dinner menu was very limited, not enough choices. We do appreciate it is a small hotel. We weā€™re advised to dine later (8pm) as a small group were dining at 7pm, however by then the most inspiring fish on the menu was no longer available. If we were staying a 2nd night we would have dined elsewhere. Everything else about our stay was positive these are just small improvements.
