The bed linen and pillow case were rough. Not comfortable to sleep on at all. One of my worse stay around iveland. Room were small. Breakfast was ok. Typical icelandic plain breakfast. As other people mentioned, if your neighbours comes back at 11pm at night, you hear the noise, voices at corridor, rooms , noise from enterimg , closing doors to toilets, rooms. My sleepmwas very disturbed unfortunately.

I really liked their available laundry service. Also, their large kitchen/eating area, which was a central meeting area all afternoon and evening. People fixed their food and ate, or played games, or sat and did paperwork. Tea and coffee were always available. They had at least three different lounging areas, so you didn't feel cooped up in your room or restricted to one area. The staff was real helpful and friendly.

This place has it all from the comfortable bed, excellence shower, plentiful seating areas, to the fabulous breakfast. Everything was sparking clean. And the grounds are so beautiful with lush grass and trees. Even a walking trail! I found it all so charming. Do stay here!

Really beautiful area with forest and lake views. Great staff and delicious breakfast. Rooms are small but comfortable and shared bathrooms are easily accessible.

The entire staff made us feel like family. Beds were outstanding. Every was extremely clean. The rooms were fully booked but we never heard a sound all night. Breakfast was difficult because there were so many delicious choices. I want their baker to move to our town! They have a 2km trail on their rural property that you simply should not skip.

This was a very well kept guesthouse. The people running it- sorry didn’t catch names. The Minnesota man😃 was very helpful. Always nice to chat with new people. Rooms were simple and clean. The common areas were very nice to spend the evening. Love the hiking trail on the property.

Absolutely beautiful area, delicious breakfast, and kind staff. Tea and coffee served all day free of charge and the views from the dining room are stunning. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Beautiful place that is sparkling clean. The location is just about 8 min drive from town with nice view of the mountains. Free breakfast was included with the stay. I was concerned about the shared bathrooms, but they were very clean. I was welcomed well with all the key information. Made for a nice stay. Rooms were are bit on the smaller size.

Fantastic Guesthouse-Friendly/clean/accommodating
Our stay was fabulous! We called an hour before arriving to inquire about the laundry facilities - planning to wash our own clothes in the middle of our trip. We discovered that we would not have access to laundry, BUT Anna, the gal on the phone explained that they would launder our clothes for a very reasonable fee. WHAT A PLEASURE! At 8:30 pm (right before the deadline) we quickly sorted our clothes and gave them to her, and explained which half could not go in the drier. She CHEERFULLY offered to hang them up for us in their laundry room overnight. They were clean and dry for us at 7:45am the next morning. SO worth the fee! Breakfast was fabulous! The stay was quiet, clean, and the staff was stellar! Room are small, but we knew that before arriving. There are nice lounges outside the rooms. We were able to store food from our cooler in the kitchen refrigerator overnight. Sink in the room was nice. Cabinet storage helped since room was so small.

It was our first time staying in the guest house, so we didn’t quite know what to expect. So we were pleasantly surprised that we had to share bathrooms and showers with the other guests. But it was not as bad as it sounds at all. Everything was so neat, and clean, and everyone was so mindful of each other. It was actually quite surprisingly good.

Very nice guesthouse in a beautiful area with a hiking path on the property that takes you past a nice stream with a small waterfall. Lots of great day long trails that are walking distance from the property. Hosts were wonderful.

Great room with sink in the room. Slept well, comfortable bed. Great breakfast food. Common areas with couches and desks are available. The area is beautiful and I regret staying only one night. No common kitchen so cannot store food in fridge but there is hot water and a microwave available. Good location close to Egilsstadir, very calm and surrounded by nature.
