The photo does not reflect the appearance of this property. It's an old structure inside and out, the parking lot is full of construction vehicles and an adjacent lot featured several abandoned trucks. Our room was outdated, although clean and serviceable. Smell of smoke in the hallway. Very hard to find from the main drag in Effingham. The only saving grace was a Starbucks in walking distance. We don't recommend this Days Inn.

The walls had loose wallpaper with black mold exposed and the wall surrounding the air unit was punky and rotten. After moving us to the third room and finding the same conditions we slept for a couple hours to refresh and moved on. Never will I stay in a motel like this again.

This Days Inn was affordable but the definitely needed some work. The wall along the window looking out on the parking lot had been damaged by water. The wallpaper was completely loose from the wall. The chair next to the window had stains that looked like it also had water damage. The beds were clean and the bath was acceptable. The breakfast was okay but there was no decaf coffee and no fresh fruit.

Room is big. Other than that the place was pretty gross. Cracked ceiling plaster, stains on everything. Just overall old and gross. Not clean. Side doors arent locked, so not secure either.

I really have never stayed in a worse location. There were dirty prints on the walls that looked like smeared feces. The chairs had white crusty stains on them. The carpets didnt look cleaned and had permanent gross stuff smeared into it. I would remove them from tour recommendations. The elevator had not been inspected for 3 years. I liked that they had beds for 7. We had 5 grandkids with us returning from their school break at the Gulf. The hotel is very worn and does not scream super clean. However the bedding is clean, extra towels were provided and the water was hot for the shower. The bath is slippery. The price charged seems to fit the amenities.

Not a place I would stay again!
My elderly aunt booked the hotel through my phone. This made check-in difficult since we were unable to print the information before we arrived. The hotel had limited information and was not able to check her in easily. The entire hotel smelled like old cigarette smoke. The people checking us in/out were eating at the desk and very unclean themselves. We had to move rooms because the safe light was flashing. We were told it was supposed to be fixed and was returned to inventory. I was with my 2 70+ year old aunts and had to move all of our suitcases to our new room. If it had not been a late evening after driving from NJ I would have immediately looked for another location. The highlight was that the breakfast area was clean and well stocked.

None of the electrical sockets worked refrigerator was completely hot it was unplugged did not provide any type of comfort in this room the beds were horrible then Lennon was horrible the pillows were horrible very horrible place nothing like the one I stayed in and Fayetteville Arkansas or any other place that I've traveled where I've stayed in Days Inn like Myrtle Beach this place was horrible disgusting carpet was dirty

Getting checked in was fine. Front desk attendant was nice. The room was in another building across the parking lot so on a snowy night that sucked. The room was to be expected for a cheap room but it wasn’t dirty. Just dusty everywhere like the room hadn’t been used in awhile.

We stayed in a double beds room. After driving all day, i went to bed minutes after getting there. My husband, woke me and said his bed was not changed. It wasn't tucked in and also had hairs on the pillows. The trash can was full of debris from a prior guest. It also had toothpast spltters on the sink and mirrors.Since my bed was clean, we just used that one instead of moving.

Entire motel is very dated with extremely dirty carpet. Rooms need an upgrade and painted. Ceiling had patched places that need painting. Shower cuttain had been pulled on so the screws were coming out. Curtain would stay in the center of the rod and water is getting all over the floor. $15.00 charge for pets which i don't mind but i wouldn't let my dog on the floor because the carpet was so dirty. In general the place is in very poor condition.

Didn’t smell clean or disinfected. Poorly designed room especially for disabilities. No fire alarm for Deaf and HH. I am hearing impaired. I slept with my aid in and kept a light on just in case of emergency.

I had a room that I could actually smoke in. But I'm guessing there had been a fire sometime in the past. The outer wall wallpaper was bubbling badly and one outlet by the beds had had electrical tape over oneplug in spot previously. So. I couldn't even charge my phone until leaving

The room was clean but the ambience was not great. The wallpaper on the window side was in very bad shape and in the corner. The floor lamp didn't work so we had the person at the desk come in. It wasn't plugged in so she pulled it out to plug it in elsewhere. The cord was totally broken. She set the lamp aside and said she would just leave it there out of the way. Ceiling tiles in the bathroom were bad. Things in general were okay but did not meet our expectations.

We just needed a place to sleep - it was fine for that - a little old but was clean. Did not have locks on doors to the outside - so did not have a completely safe feeling. Breakfast was okay - nothing to talk about.

It was very unsafe, men looking in cars, playing loud music above our room, walking loud, pounding, in and out slamming doors from 12:30 at night until 4 am in the morning. I would never reccomend that hotel to anyone. I stayed in 10 different hotels in 14 days and never had an issue with any of them except yours.

People and price were great. The room looked like an old haunted house. Every lampshade was tattered and torn. There were cracks and patches in the ceiling that gave me the impression that it would crash any minute. There were stains in the carpet. It was creepy.
