Sea views and friendly staff at this Victorian hotel. My single room was simple, comfortable and warm. Everything worked, though the lighting needs an upgrade. Dinner and breakfast were both good.

Enjoyed our stay very much The entire experience was very much complimented by the excellent staff and their pro-active approach. The property would benefit from a bit of redecoration here and there - but then again, so would I !! Will be back for sure

When you walk in, the view from the bay windows is amazing. The bed looks clean and the room looks ok at best. There’s a big splat of paint on the window where someone has hit it with the roller. The bathroom is less than ok. Holes on the floor. Bath seal is falling away from the wall. No hot water on day 1 of my stay. Didn’t sleep well both nights. Bed is hard as a board. Lights from outside shine up through the top of the curtains. There was hot water on day 2. However, after taking a shower, it’s goodbye to the amazing view. With a poor extractor and windows that do not open, the only good part about the room is gone. Breakfast really nice. Staff are lovely.

3rd stay at this hotel - something about it that I just like staff are lovely food brillant views outstanding its not perfect as some of the decor needs redoing but all in all very good

We had a beautiful stay here! I highly recommend a visit. Waking up to the sound of the ocean, followed by a walk on the coastal path. It was a very relaxing stay, and we will definitely be booking again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were greated on arrival. Check in was quick and efficient. This is a lovely hotel and our room was extremelly comfortable with a fantastic sea view. There was a good selection of cereals, fruit and pastries for breakfast and also a good choice of freshly cooked, good quality hot food. We had an evening meal on the second night of our stay which wa lovely and very reasonably priced. The only negative I have of this hotel is that the water was barely warm for a shower on one of the nights.

Everything was great but the bed was like sleeping on the floor, far to firm both the wife and i woke up repeatedly with sore shoulders, hips and back. This is a shame as everthing else was great.

Great stay and the hot tub was amazing with great views. Our ‘suite’ was quite small with a small sofa. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel was being refurbished but didn’t cause any disruption. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable nice in friendly hotel in Dunbar
Stayed one night at Bayswell Hotel. Hotel on high point overlooking the sea. Lovely lounge at rear of hotel, good for relaxing and wave watching. Ch CK in process fine. Nice big room on 2nd floor overlooking the same view as the lounge below. Large comfortable bed and a couple of seats with a table in the Bay window. Bathroom nice and modern. Good choice of breakfast items, with choice for hot food cooked to order and a selection of buffet style cold items. Staff friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

Freezing morning shower
Very disappointed, room was clean, breakfast was great, BUT I could not great a shower or shave as there was NO Hot Water. I went for a shower at 9.00 to find that all the hot water was used up by other guests in the hotel. When I spoke with an employee they just said sorry, I guess that it's last man up gets the cold shower.

Pleasant stay,good food and great,friendly staff.
We spent two nights and enjoyed our stay.The staff were excellent,very friendly and helpful.Our room was comfortable,clean and well equipped.We had dinner one night and the food was very good.Breakfast on two mornings was very good with a wide choice of cold items and the hot breakfast was cooked to order and was very good.The only minor comment was that we would have liked a small safe in our room to leave items of value or documents etc during the day when we were out.Overall a most enjoyable stay in a comfortable hotel with good food and top marks for the friendly,helpful staff.We will return!

Location can’t be beat! The ocean makes up for a lot the hotel is lacking. Namely cleanliness. The room was not cleaned well at all. The room we got wasn’t anywhere near what was pictured, so we had to pay more to get a nicer room. That being said, the location is lovely. Just make sure you book a “deluxe” room.

Lovely Hotel
I didn’t spend much time in the hotel (I booked for one night to attend a wedding nearby) but everything was great. The staff were very pleasant and let me use a room to change into wedding attire before check-in, and arriving back after midnight was not a problem. The room was clean and had a stunning view over the Firth of Forth, and there were plenty of breakfast options.

Another great stay!
Stayed here many times, just love the sea giew from the rooms, and fantastic sunset night i stayed. Staff go out of there way for you.

We had a great stay at the Bayswell Park, the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. It was only a short overnight stay for a wedding locally but the room was very comfortable and the breakfast n excellent. We would definitely stay again.
