Eco-friendly! Probably the first time in my life when the cleaning staff has not changed the used towel which was hanging in the bathroom (not dropped on the floor). Bravo!!! The room itself was very dark and sad, I didn't like the design of it, made me feel depressed. No coffee machine or electric kettle in the room unfortunately - for eco reason??

Best value for money at EPFL, Lausanne

Nice place with good amenities around the property. The M1 metro line drops you off at the front door. Air conditioning did not work during our 3 day stay and the area can be loud at night / early morning. Good place if you can stay cheap though

Convenient for conferences
If you have a meeting at the university conference Center than this is the most convenient place to stay if you have a early start. Parking cost 20chf extra so include that in your budget if you arrive by car . Otherwise public transportation is very good and you can get a free 24hr public transport ticket if you register with Lausanne tourism website.

Convenient practical on campus hotel
The on campus EPFL hotel directly at the Swiss Tech Center is very convenient for an overnight stay with no hassle to get to the conference. Reception very kind to offer explanations and the public transport pass. Direct access to metro station at the entrance. Simple clean and practical. The shutters outside the room window look a bit fricky "prison-like". Breakfast for 15chf is expensive for the limited choice. Will choose it again for any onsite conference.

Good for a night.
parking is CHF 20 a night. which is riduculous as the room is 80. the toilette was quite dirty with different stains but the rest of the room was clean. The beds are very uncomfortable, not only are they small, but also they are lower on the head end side, so you are sleeping like in an uphill position. The area is basically dead, if you do not have a car you have to bring travel time with you. The good thing is though that a tram station is right in front of the Hotel. Totally fine for a night but sad that there are no prking possibilities.

Nice and practical hotel. However can be noisy because of the tram on a side of the hotel or the students on the other side of the hotel. All in all pricing is OK and room is clean. Beds are comfy

Very helpfully personnel, I arrived after midnight and code to hotel and room worked out as informed by the hotel. the room was ok but nothing special. however next to room charge there was another expensive parking cost. A student party was going on outside and the tram runs most of the night. It is a noisy place to stay at unfortunately.

Breakfast lounge is cheap with rattling metal tables. The choice of food is very limited. No cereals or soft boiled eggs available, additional coffee to be charged. Just increase the price for the breakfast

SwissTech Hotel EPFL
Very helpful Staff - quick response for late check in (no 24h front desk, but the check in was very easy with email instructions). The amenities are basic but adequate and convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. Great for students and short stay and easy connection to public transports.

Perfect for conference trips
Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was clean, spacious, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The proximity to the metro, restaurants, supermarkets, gym and conference centre was ideal. The EPFL, UNIL, and Pelican Park were also just a short walk away. The only downsides were lack of in-room tea/coffee facilities, and no air con (although the large windows allowed plenty of fresh air). A simple but lovely hotel!

This place is clean and right on the Metro. Small but efficient staff. NO air-conditioning. NO phone in the room. Electricity had to be turned on by the staff. Shower leaked onto the bathroom floor and into the main room. This is a clean but no-frills hotel. The staff was kind enough to loan me their own personal fan from the front desk. Being on the Metro line, you had the noise of the trains/passengers/students if you opened your windows to cool off the room. Also, after 10 pm at night, you had to call a number to get a code to allow you to enter the hotel. We did not have a cell phone with us and were worried about what would have happened if the code did not work!

Great hotel right at the EPFL tram stop, close to the convention center. The entrance is somewhat hard to find. It's best if you go right to the tram stop and go to the "apartment" entrance to then go up to the 4th floor for the hotel lobby.

Great for visiting Uni and EPSL
Very new and clean and comfortable. Conveniently located near the metro station EPSL. They actually give a free transport card for the period of stay. Overall excellent stay.

This hotel was AMAZING, I had no idea when I booked it that it was right on the metro! I was there for a conference at the University of Lausanne UNIL - and this hotel was PERFECT. It was so convenient to be right on the train

I stayed 2 nights at the hotel.
I found the hotel rather disappointing, especially given the reviews I had read. The price was high for such a bare bones accommodation. I felt I was staying in a dormitory versus a hotel.
