First time visiting Dusseldorf and as ever you learn as you go. The welcome at the hotel was perfect. Very warm and caring. The room was great, large and extremely comfortable. Lovely lounge seating area, desk and huge bed. The shower was very high pressure and did the trick after long walks around Dusseldorf. Keep in mind this hotel, although quiet and in a very safe feeling area, is not in Dusseldorf centre. The handy 709 tram which was cheap and around a 5min walk from the hotel was how I got into the city centre. This wasn't a problem for me. But if you are looking to be in the heart of Dusseldorf, this is not it. But that aside, the hotel is an excellent standard and felt extremely comfortable and welcome throughout my 4 night stay.

For those arriving from cooler climates, you should note that the air conditioning is only standard in summer and in Germany they heat their buildings to 22-25c, so the rooms are very hot in the winter. We opened the windows normally but it was not enough and had to fully swing open both windows to try and cool the room down, but it was very noisy with lorrys going past, still very warm and letting rain in. I contacted reception after two insufferable nights and they were able to switch on the aircon remotely which made a huge difference to the room, but the hallways and restaurant are so warm we avoided eating there with the exception of one breakfast. This is a standard temperature across Germany, so expect shopping malls, shops etc to be the same. The room itself was spacious, even with the sofa bed in use for three occupants. The area is generally quiet, parking for disabled is right outside the front door and free, there is also free street parking. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast was nice, mostly continental with a couple of hot items. Breakfast was rather expensive per person at €25, luckily our children ate for free (2 per paying adult) meaning €50 for a family of 6. The other days we went to Lidls bakery nearby for breakfast at a fraction of the cost. Three stars because of the room heat, fridge turned off so everything warm/melted due to heat, the shower constantly went between scalding and freezing, very dangerous and unpleasant at the least.

Great value. Crisp and clean bedsheets, clean hotel, high pressure shower (even on the 9th floor), and a nice breakfast. We paid 90 Euro for three people with breakfast - a steal for the area during that time due to the Lady Gaga concert. All other hotels in the same category were 50 to 100 Euros more. Again, a great value!

Normally at any hotel, you find tea packets, Caffe, bottle of water offered for free at booked room and daily refurbished but in Holiday Inn Nuess , I didn't found and when I asked reception, they said "covid cautions" which is not logic for me! While using twels and iron... Meanwhil, the remote control of the tv wasn't working!

Really great staff.
Great hotel with great staff. Hotel was spacious and the staff were very helpful. We had 3 room that were nice and clean but in one of the rooms there was hair in the bathroom.

Decent at good value price,some improvement needed
The staff are excellent, the hotel seems modern although personally I like some Carpet rather than just hard wood floors. My room was also near a fire door and it was noisy if people used it in the night. Room was generally clean including the sheets, but their was a grapevine under my bedside cabinet and the phone was unplugged and not working when plugged back into the socket.
