I don’t know if it’s customary in the Bahamas to accept dilapidated grounds, and disrepair in hotel rooms, but that was my experience staying at the hotel, as well as, another in Nassau. Utterly shocked by the low level of standards at these hotels, as I constantly found that the images online to be misleading. Royal Palm Hotel is not as ‘boutique’ as it is advertised, it’s just an array of block hotel rooms on different neighboring streets.
Since everything on the island was booked for the holidays, we booked the King Deluxe room - which we found was just a hotel room in one of its blocks. No white fence, no bougainvilleas, or grass - as advertised. Instead, we had just dirt, chipped counters, a blocked sink, and rusty tub. Thankfully, we had a very thoughtful cleaning lady, but structurally it was horrible.
