"The Hotel Essencia is the best place to stay in downtown Dumaguete which puts you within walking distance of the stores and restaurants. The prices are reasonable for a hotel like this. The restaurant is acceptable."

Not for everybody.
"New apartment but nowhere near downtown, it was almost walking distance to the airport even though when I researched it before booking Google maps has it near downtown. Another problem is that the AC is woefully inadequate for the size of the apartment so it never gets cool enough plus the AC is ..."

"The place was really nice and clean. The toilet was a bit cramped because of the washing machine. But at least there's a washing machine. It would have been better if there's a parking space inside the condo"

"No lights in hallway and building at night. You will need to use the light on your phone or a flashlight to find your room at night. Also at checkout they charge for cleaning the room. Worst place in Dumaguete."
