Great Check in, downhill from there.
The receptionist at check in was great. Howwever the hotel was a let down. My room was on the 9th floor. The corridors smelt of stale cigarettes and my room absolutely reeked. I went to the to call down to ask if I had a smoking room but the phone was broken. Housekeeping were outside and with minimal english. I asked them if it was a smoking room was told no not. They gave me an aromatherapy machine that was in the hall. It didn’t mask the smell. I was running late for an appointment so I didnt have 15mins to go to reception to try to move. Also the walls are very thin and I was woken many times by noisy guests throughout the night.

We'd a rather good time at Occidental Al Jaddaf hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful especially Ms Phyu, she went over and beyond her call of duty. The one downside, was that the rooms were not cleaned on time and there were days our rooms were not cleaned /changed linens.

The property is outdated it needs urgent repairs,the bathroom fixtures are all loose they look they are going to fall,my whole room smelled like a really bad humidity ,the other thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t clean my room for 3 days straight so I had to go to the reception to complain about it and all I got was(I’m sorry sr)but no manager called me or contacted me to apologize or to offer anything like they usually do at hotels when they do something wrong. The hotel was smelling like stinky bathrooms from the hotel entrance , the rooms was dirty and bathroom door is broken and smells really bad and eventually when I checked out next morning and couldn’t stay the hotel management refused to refund my paid 9 nights which was refundable reservation and they stolen my paid $ 1100. Plz be careful from this hotel it’s daylight robbery and terrible place.
