Everything was great about bushman’s. Staff were friendly and kind and the cabins were beautiful and modern. Only thing we had a bit of trouble with was a trainee at the desk who kept being left by himself and he clearly hadn’t yet been trained in some of the basic info so made it a bit difficult to get clear answers but he was lovely and tried very hard to help. Otherwise, no complaints

Property is extremely dated. Bathroom is uncomfortably small. Funny smell in the room. Shower did not work properly. More interested in trying to sell you there holiday club than give service while you there.

Must visit mountain resort
Had the best long weekend but can easily stay for a week as there is so much to do. Entertainment and activities fill your day. Cleanliness was excellent and staff sanitise all sports equipment. Rooms well cleaned and sanitised. Staff wear masks. Staff are so friendly and helpful, they do the hospitalty industry proud. Just be aware of a gravel road you need to travel on but it is worth it!

So much to do at this beautiful resort - walks, hikes, on-site facilities. Entertainment provided throughout the day. Staff are friendly and helpful - they are stars in the hospitality service.

Great for family
The staff were wonderful and the food outstanding. The pool area as well as the entertainment was great. A real disappointment with the log cabin rooms, they were so dirty and need an upgrade ASAP and there is a huge problem with the flies from the stables.

Recommended for hikers
The service was excellent! The room was a bit messy, I don’t think they managed to clean up The previous guests mess properly. The towels were still a bit wet and the toilet was unflushed and left up. However, the food and view was incredible. The bed was comfortable and I loved the privacy of our hotel room. The staff made it all worth while and the family vibes were apparent throughout our stay! We were able to wake up at 5am and go to Bushmans Nek game reserve to start our hike- it’s very close to the hotel! There is also a little snack shop which allows you to buy some snacks for your hike! They also provide a map at reception of trails available!

Incredible scenery
The scenery is downright phenomenal. We stayed in the log cabin at first - then the hotel. Wow, huge difference! I'd certainly return, but not to stay in the log cabin.

Holiday
Overall place was great with excellent views, peaceful and relaxing. Dirt road of 32km so better to get to the resort during the day. There are no activities planned for Fridays as the farm is closed. Heated pool was lovely however when we got back to the room, there was no hot water, had to call maintenance to sort out which took only a few minutes. We would go back again.

Bushmens Nek
Service is outstanding and facilities are wonderful - stunning pool. Road to get there is not great so the trip took longer than expected. The hotel does need to be more environmentally friendly though - you had to run the tap for 15 minutes to get hot water, such a waste

GREAT PLACE - COULD BE BETTER
Great place. Not proply catering for winter, properly blankets. Fireplace fauly. Room got smoked. No daily cleaning as promised. No refil of soaps,lotion etc. Bathroom had no hooks for bath towels and clothing.

The views were breath taking. The area was geeat. There were plenty of entertainment only downside was that it was closed on a friday. We got in on a Thursday afternoon and left on a saturday morning. The other down side was there were always additional charges for the on site entertainment, which like other resorts ive been to.

The initial room booked I had confirmed there was a shower with the reservation agent, however on arrival the room had no shower at all. The receptionist remied the situation very efficiently by moving our room to another with a shower - great service!

Not a family resort!
We are traveling for two yrs and this has been our worst hotel experience yet! The security was non existent and the hotel allowed a very large and loud party to take place on the premises until 3:00 in the morning, even though several calls had been made. Then they allowed many drunk party goers to wander around knocking on doors and looking thru windows. When security was requested we where told they do not have any and that everything would be quiet by 4:00. To think they call themselves a family resort is very unsettling as never have I been more scared to have my family with me.

Relaxing break
Our stay was very good the only thing I can say against the resort is the 25ks dirt road on the way in is very rough so we only went out of the resort one day it is something that would stop me coming back. Staff very friendly nice place swimming pool fantastic.

Perfect Getaway
Weekend away with my girlfriend for our one year anniversary, Definitely one of the best spots to get away, Hotel was in good shape, staff very helpful and kind, there is tones to do in the area, we did a 8km round trip hike to twin pools which was amazing, massage and wine after then to the restaurant for an amazing meal, I Can suggest the Ox tail, very nice spot will be back!!

Amazing location
Wonderful place with plenty of activities to do, from trekking to horse riding to play tennis or simply relax on the lovely swimming pool. There is also a farm to visit next to the hotel. This place is suitable for any kind of traveler

Locatie is prachtig, mooi uitzicht. Echt even tot rust komen, resort is van alle gemakken voorzien. Enige minpuntje; het ligt in the middle of nowhere, dus even een boodschapje halen of wat ondernemen is niet zo 1-2-3 gedaan. Om er te komen moet je ca 45 minuten via een onverharde weg.

Echt een fantastisch resort met geweldig zwembad. Prima om 2 nachten te verblijven mits het weer fantastisch is. Is dat niet: niet gaan. Niets te doen dan. Let op: personeel probeert je te bedonderen met afrekenen. Bij ons met opzet 100 rand extra ingetoetst bij de credit Card. Zagen het gelukkig nog op tijd

Goed verblijf
Resort met erg mooi uitzicht, meer een spa. Route erheen is wel 25 of 30 km over onverharde weg. (goed te rijden)
