Amazing room, great view and incredibly easy. Great facilities with a gym included in the cost of the room. Hotel located very close to shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the train station.

Great base to explore Dortmund & visit Westfallenhalle
We stayed here to attend an event at Westfallenhalle & Basecamp provided us a perfect, economical base for this. Metro to the show venue was 2 mins walk from the hotel, the main station was about 15 mins walk. Good shopping, bars & restaurants on the doorstep. Good sized double room with ensuite shower room - all clean, comfortable, efficient and modern. Lift to all floors. Bar/dining room (not open Monday evening). Good choice of buffet items for breakfast (including healthy options) set you up for the day. Decor youthful, industrial chic!

Central location with a supermarket just around the corner. Extra benefit is the gym that has a good standard but read on for suggestions. Where I would like to see improvement is the gym. The sports mat are too short and too few. Some desinfection spray for cleaning would have been good. Last, air condition and the it equipment to run spinning classes in the gym was out of order.

Refused to return £200 headphones left in room
Left property at the hotel. After contacting the hotel they asked me to return a form with bank information so my headphones and coat could be shipped over to the UK. I never received the items and can see on findmyiphone that my headphones have moved from the hotel before being disconnected. I understand I left those items in the hotel and it’s my responsibility but I personally believe they should be returned, especially when I’d spoken to the hotel front desk within 1 hour of checking out. That’s a £200 pair of AirPods and £150 gilet I need to replace.

The 6th floor bar was really cool - and handy because no other pubs in Dortmund seemed to accept cards. Difficult to think of cons - there's nothing to do on a Sunday but that's not your fault.

Great first experience in DORTMUND!
Booking was a little messed up by an inexperienced staff but the management made good and handled the issue to our satisfaction. Location is PERFECT in the heart of the city and hotel had perfect decor / ambience! Rooms were in great condition as they just opened. Hope it stays that way!

Ein super zentrales Hotel, sehr praktisch, wenn man zum Shopping nach Dortmund kommt. Die Fußgängerzone liegt einem praktisch zu Füßen. Wir hatten nichts zu beanstanden, das Zimmer war sauber und sehr ruhig. Besonders praktisch ist, dass das Hotel über eine reservierte Ecke in der Tiefgarage verfügt. Von hier aus kann man direkt zum Hotel hochgehen. Auch sehr praktisch: Im gleichen Gebäude befindet sich ein Rewe. Da auch direkt vor dem Hotel ein Backwerk ist, haben wir auf das Hotel Frühstück verzichtet und können daher dazu keine Aussage tätigen. Alles in allem ist das Basecamp definitiv empfehlenswert!

The stuff are very friendly and helpful; the service is excellent. The only criticism: the kitchenette in the study is completely unequipped. But I think you can get plates or knifes etc. if you ask for it.

Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt gut. Das Personal war freundlich und bei Fragen standen sie einem zur Verfügung. Auch ein späterer Check-In war kein Problem. Das Frühstück war auch gut, lediglich wäre eine größere Auswahl an einzelnen Obst schön gewesen. Die einzigen Mängel waren, dass das Bett unbequem und sehr hart war und es gab nur eine Decke. Was die beiden Sachen angeht, sind die Geschmäcker aber unterschiedlich. Zudem hatten wir ein Studio mit einer kleinen Kochnische gebucht, wo auf den Fotos Geschirr, Besteck und ein Topf zu erkennen war. Im Zimmer angekommen, war nichts da. An der Rezeption haben wir dann bekommen was wir wollten. Schön wäre nur, wenn zukünftig spätestens beim Check-In angemerkt wird, dass es die Küchenausstattung erst bei Aufenthalten ab 2 Wochen oder auf Anfrage gibt. Hotelparkplätze gibt es, aber leider nur wenige. Trotz offensichtlich freien Parkplätzen, wurde uns gesagt, dass alles voll ist. So musste das Gepäck leider durchs ganze öffentliche Parkhaus geschleppt werden. Allgemein kann ich das Hotel trotzdem weiterempfehlen.

Great location! In city center close to shopping and restaurants. Great with garage in the hotel. Very accessible. Nice large rooms. BaseCamp have their hotel rooms on the 5:th and 6:th floor with makes it more like any kind of residential area and not a hotel. So I did miss the "hotel feeling".

+ nettes Personal + direkt in der City - sehr laut am Abend, da das Hotel so zentral liegt, dass es überall Kneipen und Co hat. - der Rewe ist ständig belagert von Jugendlichen, es gibt kaum was zu kaufen und es ist überteuert

Frühstück, sowie Personal und Lage hervorragend, sehr zu empfehlen -man sollte 2 Kaffeeautomaten hinstellen, da es zulang dauert ehe man Kaffee bekommt,odet vielleicht Thermoskannen hinstellen Ansonsten buchen wir wieder 👍👍👍😊😊

Sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr nettes Personal
Die Zimmer wirken wie neu und sind sehr schön und stimmig eingerichtet, zum Beispiel mit einer Sitzbank von Rolf Benz. Das Basecamp ist gleichzeitig ein Studentenwohnheim und Co-working Space. Das Frühstück auf dem Dachgeschoss mit super Ausblick ist okay, aber etwas teuer.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Im Gebäude ist auch ein Rewe, und um die Ecke ein sehr guter Döner (VIP-Döner)
