Garbage on the lobby floor. The whole hotel smells and carpets in the foyers never cleaned. I can't say anything redeeming. Do not stay at this hotel. It is a complete horror house.

Good business hotel if you are working in the area. Breakfast is mainly Chinese but with a few western options (toast, fried eggs) plus fruit. Little English is spoken by most hotel staff, but usually they can find the one person with good skills to translate, so you won't have any problems. Good location and great value. Hard to find - print the Chinese name/directions from their website to show to your cab driver.

Stayed at hotel for 16 nights. Hotel is across the street from King Glory mall and the Guomao metro station (line 1). Reasonably quiet given being in the midst of an active mercantile district with much traffic.

Luohu hotel is situated at the heart of the Luohu. It has best of both worlds, with a traditional chinese interior design, it also boasts a warm ambience with state-of-the-art furniture.With the wireless internet service, guests need not worry about keeping in touch with their loved ones abroad. Nice buffet breakfast - choice of Japanese food or buffet with local delight. It is also near to MRT,making it convenient for guests to travel around to different parts of Shenzhen. In the hotel, there is two restaurants - a nice Japanese Restaurant with quality food - price is on the High side. The other, a western food restaurant. All staffs in restaurant and at front desk are very helpful, courteous and alert. It is great to have a 7-11 convenient store situated at hotel lobby which gives customer the convenient to buy any daily necessities that may be left out or rather forgotten to bring. Room is always neat and tidy - promptly clean. It should be highly recommended. Near to Luohu station - which is only a station away. Easy accessible with Taxi. Many places of interest - for food, shopping, massage. It is an ideal location for businessmen or women.

The second time I have stayed at this hotel and the second time I've been totally impressed by the friendliness and excellent service from the hotel staff. Great hotel and will stay there every time I'm in Shenzhen for sure!

Very happy with the room. Great value, nothing to complain about. About the welcome at the reception desk however... I made my reservation thru Expedia.com 24 hrs before my arrival at 7pm. The on-duty manager, Mr. Ma, couldn't find it, seemed quite pissed and waived dismissively at the hotel logo, to suggest I wasn't at the right place. I explained (in simple Chinese) that if I could see my emails, I could provide him with the reservation code. He kept his aggressive stance and refused, but fortunately, a female clerk let me do it. He then asked me for the phone number of my reservation channel. When I pointed out to him (again in Chinese) that this number was in the US and that probably they wouldn't be able to speak Chinese, he slammed the phone with some angry comment. The whole check-in process was like this. He sulkily asked what rate I was supposed to have, with or without breakfast, said my credit card was no good because he didn't see that I needed to enter my PIN, etc. The rest of the staff seemed quite embarrassed by the manager's attitude. If I hadn't speak some Chinese, I'm sure I would never have been able to check-in. But again, the rest of the staff was ok. Obviously, they're not used to handling guests that don't speak Chinese fluently, or maybe Japanese, because the writing in the hotel was all in either language. English was also of no use when I tried to order chicken soup later from my room.

Great hotel for the price. We stayed at this hotel 2 times on this trip, each time a differant room. The first room might have had a plasma TV, that doubled as a computer monitor, the second room defenatly did not have a plasma, but had a seperate computer monitor. I did not check for WiFi as each room had a computer for use in them. Neither of the rooms had memory foam matresses, but the beds were slightly softer than the typical Chinese bed. The location is very good. We walked to and from the subway station in about five minutes, and there are many bus stops even closer. If I ever come back this way, I would be sure to stay here again. Don't get me wrong, this hotel is a little older and could use some extra care, but overall a nice place to stay.

5 minutes walk to the metro Grand Theater station. Check with hotel staff for the direction. McDonald is just behind hotel and in the morning, the hotel operate a small stall at the side with plenty of Chinese breakfast foods. Internet connection from CNCC available. If prefer, use the cable connection - recommended. Ask for quite room and you will not be disappointed. One drawback is receiving call at odd hour for massage.
