Quaint, clean, great location
Quaint and clean hotel that's about a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Daily/overnight parking for only 5 euros. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which is a theme for Dijon as everyone is kind and welcoming. Listen to their restaurant recommendations - it was the best meal we had in France.

The service was excellent, and the porter was VERY helpful. Even moving her car as we needed to park. Great value for money. A little modernising would be great, but I'd happily stay there again. Great area.

Hotel was good for one night stay. Nothing special but nice staff and an air conditioner. The area is okay.... no nice places but the hotel is a 15 minute walk to everything in downtown. If you just need a place to sleep and park your car you cant beat this hotel's price. Just FYI the wifi barely worked.

Comfortable stay
The receptionist was very nice, even though we arrived late at night, she gave us clear instructions beforehand so we checked in without any problem. The room was very comfortable, great for four people. The shower was also great. One thing was the Wi-Fi in the room was not very good, so we just used data most of the time. On the whole would recommend this place:)

The receptionist was perfect with me and my basic French, recommended and wrote down a list of restaurants as I went out to venture the centre and the hotel was everything I needed for the price paid. Genuine, superb staff.

Good value for money
We stopped in Dijon for dinner and a night's rest to break up the drive from Provence. Our room was clean, quiet, and just 5-10 minutes' walk from the nicest parts Dijon.

Perfect for our stopover on the way down to South of France. The hotel is located very close to centre of Dijon. There is a parking area in front of the hotel. We walked into town (less than 10 minutes) and had dinner at The Edit. Hotel lady at Reception was very gracious and very helpful. The beds were comfortable, we had a family room for 4. The room and bathroom were very clean.

Fantasic find
Although this hotel has a start rating equal or less than a campanile or equivalent it is way better. The service was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and bedding clean and fresh, the mattress was so comfortable I had a better nights sleep than at home ! The breakfast was also fine but a little expensive at €8 but there was plenty to chose from and obviously as much as you can eat. The air conditioning was ok but a little tricky to use so make sure you are clear on how to use it and that it is working before reception leaves for the evening as although the velux window let in a lovely breeze it was noisy from either another hotel garden or a bar or something till gone 1am, once the window was closed though it was unnoticeable. The area looks a little shabby but does not represent the hotel and its charming little court yard and it may be easy to wander into a rougher area, we did notice a change as we walked up the main street with the restaurants and tram line from Dijon sncf. But we didn't experience any problems. Also note the car park costs €5 which was not detailed on this site when we booked. I thoroughly recommend staying here, but for an extended.stay it would be a little small unless you were travelling alone.

We liked the rom price and location close to Colmar, but the two meals we ate in a day and a half were ridiculously over-priced. We wouldn't stay there again, nor would we recommend it.

Was simple and basic, bathroom clean. Staff pleasant. Parking a bit of a problem as the carpark got full up quick and off street parking ends at 9am.

Budget hotel for one night
It is very budget and small hotel. It is close to the city center (about 10 minutes by walk). It has its own parking but for surcharge. Wifi in room was free. Everything was clean but old. Bed was pretty uncomfortable. It seems that the last update was in early 90s. But for one night it was ok. It seemed that hotel staff were also its owners.

There are better budget hotels in Dijon.....
Room was not just basic, it was spartan. No pictures on wall, teensy bedside table attached to bed frame which was only big enough for a tiny phone and the remote control. Room was clean, but super tiny. Bed and bedding just ok. Only way to lock room door is to put key in lock from inside and turn it. Had to walk outside and upstairs to get to room, and it was chilly weather! Bathroom very clean. Room next to mine was under renovation, even while I was in the room, (after 7 pm at night, before 10 am in the morning - noisy!). No in room safe. called reception no one would answer, had to go down and outside to ask your question. Staff friendly however and recommended nice restaurant within walking distance. Dijon is a lovely town, though parking is a serious hassle in general all through town so bear that in mind of you plan to drive. Would not stay here again unless nothing else was available.

A Little Jewel
The hotel is in a residential area and a short walk from the Dijon Ville Station. Staff very happy to help witrh any query. Our room overlooking the courtyard was very clean and comfortable:good shower over a bath, window shutters, desk for computer use. Breakfast spread was extensive. Local restaurant, supermarket & laundrymat close by. It is a 10minute walk to the centre of the city. We extended our stay another night here at the end of our train travel in Europe. A jewel in our travels!

location to city centre was ideal
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Thurot Hotel. It was an ideal location for us as we arrived by train (short walk to hotel) and did not have a car (short walks to city centre and tourist sites). Nearby was a great little cafe where we enjoyed cafes in the morning. Also nearby was a pizza place for a late night snack. We cannnot rate the petit dejeuner as we chose to experience breakfasts in the city centre. All in all the hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the location was great.

The room was small but perfectly adequate for our needs. the receptionist was very helpful when we arrived and at breakfast the next morning. The breakfast room was nicely laid out, and the choice for breakfast was very good, I was offered eggs if wanted. A pleasant quiet hotel.

lovely overnight stop
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel, which we booked online the day before our stay. The woman at reception could not have been nicer or more helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and the air conditioner was the quietest I have ever experienced, while doing a great job on a 31C day. Great stop on our way back to Paris. Would definitely book it again.

Hotel Thurot in Dijon
This is a basic but comfortable hotel. Especially commendable was the level of service we got. Laura was extremely helpful in fielding our questions on where to eat, what to see and do in and around Dijon. She also helped to make space for our parking and is very cheerful and welcoming - something that is lacking of a lot of hotel personnel!

Hotel is conveniently located near the train station, up an incline if you plan on having heavy luggage.. There are no lifts in the hotel so also, bear that in mind. It is clean and provided us with everything we needed for a single night stay.. a comforatble bed, airconditioning and clean amenities and reasonable pricing.

vraiment à éviter sauf si vraiment petit budget
hotel vraiment sale, des chambres, salles de bains, au set de table pendant le petit dejeuner. nous avons choisi un appartement que nous avons refusé vu l'état général de saleté voir d'insalubrité, heureusement le receptionniste a été compréhensif apres avoir constaté avec nous et nous a trouvé une autre chambre libre, certe pas en super état mais mieux quand meme. serviette de toilette noircies, meuble d'évier bancal, mitigeur d'évier bancal, lumiere du miroir bancal, drap sales, tapisseries arrachées, du scotch encore au plafond suite à une peinture du plafond , cuvette de wc noire, bref drole d'endroit à éviter de preference.

Zeer gedateerd hotel - op het vervallen af. Maar het bed was goed, de kamer warm (wel heel basic) en het personeel vriendelijk. Helaas een paar keer wakker geworden van lawaaierige buren. En waar de mieren in zowel de slaap- als badkamer vandaan kwamen? God mag het weten. Op loopafstand van het centrum.
