"The hotel did not switch on generator for about 3 to 4 hours at night when regular electric supply was disrupted. On complaining ,the staff said that as customers did not request for generator supply, they did not switch it on. Their position was that now since you asked for it, we shall switch the generator on whereas it should have been a matter of routine in the event of power disruption. Secondly, regardless of discomfort & disturbance to guests, continous hammering was resorted to at night from 2230 hours onwards for about an hour or so. It is not understood why construction work has to be done at that time. Thirdly, the hotel should employ a trained South Indian cuisine cook--- the breakfast served of dosa , tomato & coconut chutneys & sambar was pathetic & totally substandard."

"Good location in McLeod. Spacious room, hot water worked well & although the room was very cold at night, they provided a heater for approx. £3 per night. Good value for money overall! "

"A huge thanks to the manager Vivek who was nothing but exceptional. Nothing was a problem for him and his staff. The hotel is about 10km from the city centre but there are regular buses or a taxi if you need it. The hotel food was lovely and I was introduced to some amazing new dishes. Good WiFi, balcony overlooking the running stream and ships nearby. Good hot showers and as an Englishman, Vivek put on the English football on TV for me. Just had a memorable 8 days and I will be back one day. Thank you. "

"Dinner buffet is really good. February temperature in the room with central heat was good. Hot water - plenty with central heating. Rooms are cosy and clean. Lobby, hallways not heated in the winter (story of the whole region), so you are stuck between room and restaurant. Upstairs is a nice bar on the roof top with pool table. Very quite in hotel. Nowhere to walk from it, hills are steap- in the same.time it's a great location - its peaceful . You need to take taxi to main Street and Dalai Lama monastery (500 rupees). Swimming pool is unusable. Not heated. Cold. Breakfast buffet was good."
