"Ibis hotels are pretty much all the same. Spare, clean, social area. This is within a few minutes walk to the Festspielhaus, the Hbf, and a short walk to tourist Bayreuth. Air-conditioning which many Bayreuth hotels lack. At other hotels people are dependent on cabs or busses to get to and from hotels to the Festspielhaus which can be very slow and expensive as the cabs are metered and sit in traffic after the opera."

"A lovely and recommended place. it was a great experience. We enjoyed walking around the corridors of the castle and discovering the special rooms with weapons and armor. We took part in a tour "Sophie's Cave" - we really enjoyed it, but the downside is that the tour is in German, altow you can try to get an explanation from the guides separately. "Hotel is used for a lot of conferences, and bus tours, so is big, and has lots of rooms. Having said that, the facilities are all fine and well maintained, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was ecellent too. Only minor issue is that its a bit of a walk to the town centre (15-20 mins), but there isn't a lot to see or do there anyway, so no big deal. Parking is easy and straightforward"
