Ukraine Hotels

Hotel extremley well kept and maintained. Staff helpful and curtious. Well situated to downtown area but off the beaten track so very quiet, Just don't be near if FC Kiev has a home game as it does get a bit crowded with the stadium in the hotels back yard. However, very well monitered with both city and military police all around the hotel. The buffet breakfast rates a 5 out of 5. Lots of variety and constantly fresh items put out. The staff in the restaurant are constantly cleaning up dirty dishes so you never have a full table. Food is well prepared and quite tasteful. Hotel up a bit of a hill but not steep and places to rest if needed, thus no bus goes by hotel but numberous buses to all over city at bottom of hill. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the main downtown area and about the same distance to the subway.

The Opera Hotel is a luxury class hotel, but its rooms need an upgrade. Location is good, public areas are good. Restaurant is good, however service at breakfast needs help. Stayed 5 nights, felt comfortable, and well taken care of.

Nice hotel good price great location helpful staff

Superb. There is no other word for this hotel. The staff was amazing and knew enough English to make communication very easy for a beginner in the Russian language. This hotel was on par with the better hotels in the US. My date even spotted the Ukrainian president's son as a guest. I could not ask for more, and the price was reasonable given the quality of the hotel and staff. The best I saw in Ukraine after traveling to Kiev and Odessa also.
