"Paraty is a place to visit! Just skip this property. It’s not a hostel more like a local residence/ party spot. There was 3 families living there, that made it all rather unusual. The music never stops it’s on all day and typically goes off around 3-4 am. It’s difficult to get a good nights sleep. The bar/restaurant had nothing to drink other than 2 beers and only had potato chips for snacks. Not what I typically expect from a hostel. I also had booked with them a transfer at 7 am which I missed...

After all, a spiritual journey, It's indeed your own quest...so the vibe feels real here...not superficial in most places like one finds in places like NYC, London......the uniforms don't exist here...I think it's beautiful, intellectual well put it this space...and I truly hope its innocence and vibe don't get lost with time...Namaste!"

"I spent 4 days in this beautiful charming house, and felt home the moment I passed the gate. The house located in the beautiful authentic neighborhood of Santa Teresa is decorated with taste displaying very cozy and clean rooms. A delicious breakfast is served under the trees with a very nice view on the city and I had the chance to see the little monkeys populating Rio while having my morning coffee. The host Matthieu is incredibly welcoming and helpful. I came last minute without organizing...
