“the best hotel of the trip”

simply i should say that the pearl was one of the best hotels during our stay to india. close to the train station and the city center. loved the staff. good complimentary drive from airport to the hotel and the complimentary wifi access are one of the best things to have in a budget hotel like the pearl. nice clean rooms with good food served at their restaurant.

“Pearl Hotel Delhi”

Comfortable hotel in Delhi. Buffet breakfast included in the price had a limited choice. Also recommend arriving earlier to breakfast as had to wait for food when I got there at around 10am. Hotel would ring the room to tell me breakfast was being served. The call was always around 7.30am. This I found slightly annoying. Free use of internet in the hotel lobby. Hot water was not always available. Locking the room was sometimes difficult and opening the door was at times fiddly.

“Delhi - The Pearl”

We chose the hotel because of its whereabouts - close to the railway station. We knew from the comments it was in a poor area but we were surprised at the noise level, dirt and dust. The hotel was fine, the staff were helpful and when we asked to move room they quickly arranged it. We paid for a deluxe room but not sure that is what we got? Breakfast was disappointing, food was cold . We were also billed for teas and coffees at the end of our stay when I believe we had paid for them in our package.

“Busy Delhi”

We booked this hotel because of its close location from Delhi train station as we arrived late at night. It claims to be a short walk from the station, which is probably true as the crow flies. However, it is extremely difficult to walk through crowds and heavy traffic and carrying luggage to the hotel. We asked for a transport pick up at the station but the driver did not make the effort to identify himself until we discovered by chance that he had our name on a piece of paper folded up! He was also reluctant to carry both our bags even though he had parked a good distance away. He then proceeded to take us on an hour's trip round Delhi doing his own errands like filling the diesel in the car!??! In hindsight, we would have been better to book a hotel in the vicinity of the airport given the amount of time wasted in the heavy city traffic to get to this hotel. The restaurant serves very good Indian food late at night. Overall, the room was tidy and clean.

“Not bad, for a short stay if you can ignore the squawlor outside”

I suppose for the price, this hotel is ok, not luxury. However, it is in one of the worst areas of Delhi, so be prepared for a culture shock. If you want a clean bed and budget priced hotel in central Delhi, then go for it.

“Not very Impressed”

Room was clean, bed comfortable, shower ok. I asked for an airport pickup, stated as incluxex free on the booking; they never replied and didn't turn up. As a single woman I found the staff neither friendly nor helpful.

“Wouldnt go back, unfriendly manager”

When we arrived we booked a family room with 2 king size beds. On Arrival we checked in and there was 1 king size and 1 small bed. When we complained we were given a rude response and told we will sort it tomorrow nothing we can do today. We went out the next day sightseeing, when arriving back to our room our breakfast dishes from the morning where still in the room and the beds had not been made. When questioned we were told we hadnt left our key. Having said this, I did ask shall we leave the key and management told us no you dont need to. At this point they changed our room. The manager himself is very rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. However the kitchen staff and other staff are all amazing, so friendly, helpful, always smiling and will do anything they can. I wouldnt order any taxis from the hotel as they are always around 100-200 rupees more than if you found one yourself. when out and about take a number of taxis, you will find when you comare with the hotel there will be a big difference. Food in the hotel was nice, generally the rooms were ok but can be a little stuffy.
