“Disappointing start by a 5* Hotel”

Our initial welcome at this hotel was appalling especially as we had pre-paid for the whole duration of our stay. We arrived in the early hours of the morning having flown in from Heathrow. We had pre-arranged a pick-up from Delhi Airport by the hotel and they had previous notice we would be arriving late. After booking-in, the Duty Manager said a room would not be available for about an hour and offered a transfer to another 5* hotel - this we declined and requested that a room be made available quickly in view of the time and our many hours of travelling. After some debate, we told the Duty Manager if the type of room we had booked was not available then the Hotel needed to upgrade us. This was agreed but on arriving at our room the Duty Manager then tried to say this room would only be available for our first night - we refused to accept this arrangement and the Duty Manager backed-down after incorrectly accusing us of not notifying them of our expected time of arrival. In all a very unpleasant start to our holiday in Delhi.

“a very 'so so' experience, very underwhelmed”

very disappointing experience overall. the residence which is their premium club floors offer much and deliver little no wine and chocs were delivered on arrival as advertised and the petite fours at turn down also never materialised either they advertise as a 5 star exclusive hotel on the web and 4.5 star on expedia but this was no 5 star hotel, more 4 star tourist bed factory however, all the staff were really friendly and eager to help

“I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.”

We had really bad experience of staying in this hotel. The room was not clean, there was condensation around the window, the carpet in the roomwas filthy and there were no instructions to operate the shower. Worst of all, the toilet was blocked and overflowing. We stayed in the hotel and the cleaner didnot even noticed that the toilet was blocked. When complained about the toilet upon check out, we were told that we should have reported about it; but the cleaner who is suppose to be cleaning the room could have easily picked up the fault if he was really doing his job properly. The noise from nightclub next door kept us awake throughout the night. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and the hotel should be downgraded to 3 stars.

“"forget about getting a peaceful nights sleep and take some ear plugs"”

I basically did not sleep as there is a house music night that goes on until 5am on a monday wed and fri nights and the entire hotel was shaking from the loud music. I was offered to move room, but found this totally unacceptable. The room carpet was filthy and the furniture in the lobby tatty and broken. Check in staff not overly helpful or efficient. Money not well spent andwould surely go further in other similar star rated hotels. Management did send me some earplugs and was very apologetic though.
