Service and staff were good. Rooms too claustrophobic as window has no clear glass. Painting at lobby is beautiful and the flowering tree at entrance gives lovely scent in the evenings.

Good location needs upgrad
Nicely located hotel but needs upgrade. There was a roach in the light in the ceiling and the towels were dirty. The hotel staff is very nice. Needs to be upgraded desperately though

Simple hotel in a quiet location
Simple hotel. Whilst a little run down, it was clean and rooms were spacious. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. We were there in winter though and rooms just have A/C, so can be a little cold. Good Wifi connection.

Good hotel for a quick stay
Overall the hotel experience was positive. Clean rooms, helpful staff and moderate breakfast. However only issue was internet limit was 500mb per use, which was quite irritating to renew at the front desk. Overall, a place I’d choose to stay again at.

Nice location
Wi-fi speed very low and limited access. Commode has no facility for jet spray (needed under India condition). I was however told bill will be sent by email but failed to receive.

A luxury after the mountains
Stayed here the last night of my India trekking vacation. Staff was friendly and helpful, but it was frustrating that they couldn't give me a working key-card at first so somebody had to let me back into my room every time I left it. Shower and bed were glorious. WiFi worked but was very slow and heavily filtered (no streaming video allowed, for example). Staff were great about arranging me a car and driver to see Delhi and then take me to the airport. Location is quiet but kind of out of the way; can't walk anywhere. Breakfast was good.

Good hotel, a bit far away from the city
This is a good hotel and quite good for its value. The staff are the best part of the hotel. Very helpful and I really appreciated the last call for breakfast, especially since it is difficult to get food nearby! My issue with the place is I never got one good hot shower, it was always either cold or luke warm - complained a few times but it didn't really help. Stayed for 2 nights (Feb 9 and 10)

Best value in Delhi
This is a very small hotel located in a very quiet area. Although it is a bit off the beaten path, taxi service (it is a bit far for tuk tuk) was quick to everything including the airport (20-25 minutes). Make sure you take one of their map direction cards though; most taxis will not know where it is from the address. The service is extremely good and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel feels more like a bed and breakfast run by the owners, and everything has that personal touch. The room and bed are extremely comfortable, although heating/cooling was a minor annoyance (on any given day you would have either heat or cooling but not both). Food was cheap but tasty (only ate indian for supper) and the included breakfast was very good with an excellent omlette chef in the restaurant. The beer was the cheapest we had in two weeks. It was a little cool for the roof top garden, but it would be great on slightly warmer evenings, very green, and quiet. Highly recommend staying here.

Hotel helpfull with driver rental. As a general rule, bring always copy of your reservations, specially if you have already paid in full. It help us with a missunderstanding that might have cost us one night. Would stay again.

The hotel staff really were excellent, from checking in to sign the register, to arranging for a car for us to go to the airport, nothing was too much trouble for them. The morning we went to see the Taj Mahal (again, arranged at a good price by the hotel), we required an early breakfast, and the staff bent over backwards to provide breakfast for us ( the staff were a little too attentive sometimes at breakfast). The front desk staff's local knowledge of resturants, shopping etc was invaluable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Amber. Also liked the rooftop garden area to relax in. Would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

WE USED THIS HOTEL AS A STOPOVER, HAVING READ REVIEWS. WE FOUND IT LIVED UP TO EXPECTATIONS AND WAS GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. nOT SURE IF IT IS PROPERLY LOCATED FOR A LONGER TERM VISIT TO DELHI, BUT IS CERTAINLY CLEAN AND HAS EXCELLENT STAFF.

Great place to stay on your way in to delhi. Even better place to stay to have a little luxury if you have been travelling holidaying in india for a while. Great food. Amazingly comfy bed and reception stay are very helpful and friendly.

to get food we have to climb with kids and its certainly make trip hectic; also every room service is charged at extra cost !! even if kid is mentioned on hotel.com ; Kids charges are taken by hotel - dont be surprised with hotel policies for kids if u have kids !!

Truly a great experience
I loved our expereince at The Amber. The hotel staff were eager to help out in anyway. Being a single women, Abmilash (front reception) was so protective and although I have traveled to India and many developing country I appreciated the thoughtfulness and kindness that was extended. You could ask anything from anyone of the staff members and it would be "no problem" .. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel!

Tranquil in Delhi suburbs
The Amber is a tranquil contrast to the chaos of Delhi with great staff. The only draw back is the location-about 30 mins on the metro plus the tuck-tuck to the station. Fine though if you are working near Saket, Nehru Square or Kailash Colony.

Service was very good. We had some trouble with our baggage not arriving at the airport, and the Amber front desk staff were great in assisting us in every way possible. We would suggest that if you want hot showers in the evening that you make that known to the staff, and also note that the restaurant does not provide liquor. The location was good in relation to the airports and visiting Agra.

Mental Space after Delhi's chaos!
Good: Lovely peaceful hotel with a nice decor, clean and bright and well thought out rooms, spa style freshner aroma through the hotel, basic and filling breakfast, excellent Indian food (especially the freshly made roti and palak paneer) smiling and happy service. Bad: Bathroom tube light lighting makes for freakish looking make up when one steps outdoors. Also same Cafe Del Mar CD piped over and over again for 2 days in a row, rather irritating; terrace on the roof could be an option if they had mosquito repellents in place. No special room/ space to conduct a business meeting. Wierd: Anything other than Indian food can take up to 1.5 hours to reach your table (we were told later that since it's ordered from another restaurant it's a long trek for it to reach Amber.) Tip: Order your daily car from a regular car rental service, hotel provided cars are a little more expensive. Or have them order you a cab. Alternatively book a Meru Cab (yourself) in advance. Super professional service, reasonable rates.

I stayed at Le Meridien of New Delhi for 10 days prior switching to the Amber where the rate was much more reasonable. The staff at the Amber was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel manager was very accommodating. There was no late checkout fee (if check out by 6:00 pm). The room was good size with modern decoration. The overall facility was very clean. The Amber was the best part of my stay in New Delhi. Even though it’s a small hotel, it’s warm and welcoming. The overall services are far better than those of the Le Meridien. You gotta check out the roof top of the Amber. The view was unbelievably beautiful. The only negative thing about the hotel is the location. Most cab drivers I dealt with were not familiar with the area. Some even got lost. Thumbs up for the Amber !!

A haven from the hustle and bustle
Modern comfortable hotel, clean and well furnished. Enjoyed excellent meal on the roof terrace. Pity we were only able to spend a single night there - we would have used it again on our return journey but for it's distance from the airport, 45 minutes taxi ride.

wonderful staff at this boutique hotel. the vibe is similar to boutique hotels everywhere and it's a welcome respite from busy delhi. the food is great, although the buffet breakfast was a little lacking. i would recommend this hotel unequivocally except for its location which is a little out of the way and difficult for cab drivers to find. the rooms look good and are comfortable apart from the bad pillows.

It is so bad in the hotel.I have lost all my money and bank cards and others cards and keys .I have checked the CCTV, the night before i lost all these,it is no CCTV,the CCTV has been closed .And the hotel people said because of low quality of camera.It is so funny .

지역은 좀 외지지만 청결한 편이고 서비스 괜찮고요, 하루 차 렌트해도 1500 루피 정도. 관리도 잘 되있고, 암튼 편안하게 있다가 왔어요. 아침식사는 보통 수준.

Sauberes Hotel in ruhiger Umgebung
Das Amber Hotel liegt ruhig in der Nähe zum Lotustempel. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist o.k.. Einziger Nachteil, wir hatten ein executiv Zimmer gebucht, das aber kein Fenster hatte, das heißt, wir hatten kein Tageslicht im Zimmer.
