The Hyatt is typically a solid place to stay. Unfortunately, during our visit memorial day weekend, it was not advertised that the pool would be closed and that there was construction in their parking lot. The hotel was clearly understaffed and lacked management to support the front desk so staff members were frazzled and didn't provide proper instructions and hospitality was subpar. The breakfast bar was consistenlty backed up and empty and the common areas were dirty and filled with trash. Thankfully the room was clean and the view was great. The beachfront property's beach access was nonexistent due to construction, but we were able to to get to the beach through a different hotel nearby. Hopefully this was an anomoly and not the norm. We were able to enjoy our stay and make the best of it. If budget allows, we recommend management invests in contracted staff to assist hospitality teams in preparation of contingent plan when closing down certain operations.

The parking lot is small and hard to find somewhere to park the vehicle,especially if you come later in the evening. Front desk was pretty nice but maids were a different story. Expedia didnt say that there pool was closed for months and no beach access so we had to walk down the road to the ramp where the vehicles enter the beach,luckilu it wasnt too far.

Staff was good… it was a decent hotel despite the fact that pool was closed as well as beach access. Complimentary breakfast was a hit and miss, only one staff member covering breakfast area.. it was a busy weekend and you would eat if you find something left to eat!

All staff I came in contact with were awesome, from the gentleman who came to help me with the thermostat to the young man who was at the desk when I checked in later one night. What I didn’t like was that the property inside could have been cleaner. I don’t think the carpets in the hallway or in my room were vacuumed once on my four day stay.

The place had no pool with 90 degree weather ..: no patio area to sit and no Charisse on the patio at the room .... a lot of construction .... just a horrible beach experience if Inhad known the place was under so much construction .... I would have NEVER booked at this hotel ..... after flying from Atlanta , I did not know any of this until hours before I checked in

It was not until after I booked my nonrefundable stay that Expedia sent me an email informing me that the hotel was under construction. There is no pool and no beach access. We had to walk 2 hotels down to gain access to the beach. We are only here one night for a baseball tournament and I could have booked at several other hotels for cheaper with pool and beach access. Beyond disappointed and the hotel won’t do anything because I booked thru Expedia. Expedia, you let me down for not disclosing this information up front. I’ve used Expedia for many years and have never had this issue. I will be rethinking what site I use to book in the future.

When I booked the hotel, the webpage had pictures of a swimming pool, hot tub and access to the beach. Well, after booking and arriving at the property, I was told that none of the aforementioned amenities were available! If you are looking for a swimming pool and other amenities, this hotel will NOT provide it!

Property did not fully disclose entire pool & patio deck was gone (covered over in sand) & closed off with no access to beach unless one walked or drove 3-4 blocks down the street & paid to drive on beach. Our room was outside ice machine that dropped ice & drained loudly all night. Loud Smoke alarm in our room was ringing early morning; called front desk who was sending someone, we waited, no one came but ~hour later it finally stopped ringing. We checked out after 1 night & found better accommodations.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Didn’t get a room until after 7:00pm (waited 3 hours!) as entire housekeeping staff quit the day before. Requested room (ocean view) not available. O e king bed instead of 2 queens (as requested) not available!!! No pool, no beach access

Rooms not clean. I found food on the floor next to the bed as soon as I walked in. I was able to change rooms but saw a difference in furniture and bedding. Renovations done poorly in rooms. Random paint in places it shouldn’t be like the bathroom door or balcony curtains. Pillows were random and unsubstantial. Bedding including mattress topper were hot. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Breakfast was awesome. Restaurant and bar inside is misleading. No beach access or pool. Plenty of parking.

No water pressure whatsoever, cannot say this enough. The sink had significantly higher water pressure and volume than the shower. Literally worst shower I’ve ever seen. Also had the loudest refrigerator that buzzed nonstop. AC didn’t work very well either

The garbage can at the entrance to the hotel was overflowing with garbage. There was barely any place for our dog to use the bathroom outside. The pet fee was not disclosed until we checked in. People were smoking marijuana in the elevator and balcony. Parking was limited. Lightbulbs in the room were burned out. The lobby area was not well maintained and seemed dirty. Definitely not the standard that we’re accustomed to from the Hyatt brand.

Stayed one night. The room seems older and needs some renovations but it was clean. The views of the beach from the room was nice. We knew the pool and decks outside are all out of service, bet we were told that in advance and was the reason the price was lower than usual.

The hotel advertised pool , hot spa, but there was no pool or hot spa or access to the beach that is lying to customers. Elevators were dirty. No chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view, the sofa cushions fabric was rip in bad shape it was broken. The staff were very nice, breakfast was nice. Parking was OK. Location was ok.

Such an amazing stay at the Hyatt Daytona Beach. They accommodated all my requests very well. Great breakfast. Room was perfect! Wish there was access to any of the beaches in the south part of Daytona. Closed due to erosion.
